We had the good fortune of connecting with Sacha Walton and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sacha, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind my success and the success of my brands, SWI Management Group and According 2 Sacha Podcast, is how I show up. You have to be fully present when accomplishing success. This means even on your worst days of being mentally challenged in the world of entrepreneurship, you have to show up as the best version of yourself. Many are watching you take risks and achieve every opportunity set before you. Everything that is in you manifest externally whether negatively or positively. You are only going to go as far as you allow yourself. When success is the goal, you have to keep pushing through each level and height you make it to. This has been my experience and I strive for greatness. Live as your life will motivate others and be a legacy of inspiration and success.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I have been in this entrepreneurship game for over 20 years. I have learned many lessons and experienced challenges which caused me and my business to evolve. I remain teachable and apply what I learn to my business and add value to those I coach. What sets me apart from others in my niche. I take a holistic approach to business, combining mindset and business coaching paired with corporate building strategies. I believe incorporating your professional skill sets to one’s entrepreneurial journey is imperative. I also have a Bachelor’s in Business Management and Administration and a Master’s in Management. I apply my education, corporate professional background, and business experience to make what I do even more valuable. My most important lesson I’ve learned is to trust myself, my ideas, and the wisdom I have for business. The other lesson is always be prepared for change and have a plan. There are times when external situations happens outside of our control like with the pandemic. You should have a business and skillsets that are transferable to help pivot your business in the midst of change. Entrepreneurship is never easy, but it is rewarding. My biggest challenge to overcome was during the pandemic. The core of my business, prior to the pandemic, was in the event industry. The pandemic shut the industry down in 2020. I had to adjust and deal with the realness of entrepreneurship, the ugly part of it and questioned myself, what do I do now? I pulled on my other skillsets which afforded me the opportunity to relaunch, now being the face of my brand. The relaunch of my business is also a rebirth. I’ve blossomed as a speaker, author of Beyond The Music, an entrepreneurship guide for music artists, the host and founder of According 2 Sacha Podcast and as well as an extraordinary business coach and strategist. I support other entrepreneurs with my brand and platform. I’m happy that out of the pain and confusion of the pandemic something even more extraordinary was birthed. I want people to know, never shy away from the greatness within you.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would definitely take them to the Whiskey Mistress in Buckhead. Then check out Martin Lurther King’s home. We would go to the Krog Street Tunnel, a dope graffiti museum . For food, we have to go to the Louisiana Bistreaux – the food is delicious.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to dedicate this shout out to my wonderful family and friends! My daughter Kiari, my mom, dad, and sister. My wonderful friends Jackie and Candy. To the special man who pushes me to be take leaps and move toward greatness, Aaurri. My wonderful podcast assistant who helps me keep it together, Mama-U
