We had the good fortune of connecting with Nicole Levi and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi nicole, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I’ve always had a passion for cooking. Some of my earliest inspiration came from my dad and my family, who not only shared their love of food with me but also showed me what it takes to be an entrepreneur. Growing up around family members who owned businesses and restaurants gave me a firsthand look at the dedication, creativity, and heart that go into building something meaningful.

That foundation inspired me to dream of starting my own business. For me, it’s about much more than serving meals—it’s about creating memorable experiences. Food has a unique way of bringing people together, creating conversations, celebrating milestones, and making everyday moments special.

My goal is to offer a variety of flavors and culinary experiences that reflect my passion and creativity while bringing joy to every person who eats my food. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing people smile, connect, and create lasting memories over great food and sense of community it provides.

Starting my own business is my way of honoring my family’s legacy while building one of my own, centered on passion, hospitality, and the belief that good food has the power to bring people together.

What should our readers know about your business?
My catering business specializes in authentic Baltimore and New Orleans–style cuisine, bringing bold flavors, Southern hospitality, and unforgettable dining experiences to every event. Whether I’m catering private dinners, birthday parties, baby showers, corporate gatherings, or other special occasions, my goal is to create meals that bring people together and leave lasting memories.

In addition to catering, I offer customized meal prep services for individuals and families looking for fresh, flavorful meals that fit their lifestyle. I also enjoy teaching others how to cook, sharing my knowledge and passion for food through hands-on cooking experiences that help build confidence in the kitchen.

What sets my business apart is my commitment to quality. Every dish is prepared with fresh ingredients—I don’t use canned or frozen products. I believe that great food starts with fresh ingredients, and that dedication to quality can be tasted in every bite.

My mission is to provide more than just a meal. I strive to create an experience where every customer feels welcomed, every event is memorable, and every plate reflects the passion, culture, and love

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending quality time with my friends and exploring some of our favorite local spots. One of our go-to places is Lomi Restaurant Food & Bar, where we love getting together for karaoke nights. The music selection is always great, the atmosphere is fun and welcoming, and it’s a place where we can relax, laugh, and make lasting memories.

Another favorite is R Real Taco. It’s one of our top spots for great food and drinks, especially since it’s open late. Whether we’re grabbing a bite after a long day or just catching up over good food, it’s always a great time.

Outside of restaurants, I enjoy spending time outdoors. My friends and I love visiting local parks to go for walks and explore different trails. It’s a great way to unwind, stay active, and enjoy each other’s company while taking in nature.

For me, it’s all about creating memories with the people I care about—whether that’s over great food, good music, or a peaceful walk through the park.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My support system has been the foundation of my journey, and I truly wouldn’t be where I am without them. My family has believed in me from the very beginning and continues to encourage me every step of the way.

My dad has been one of my biggest mentors, teaching me everything he knows about cooking, running a business, and the importance of hard work. My mom is always there behind the scenes, making sure everything is organized and set up so I can focus on creating an amazing experience for my customers. My sister is my biggest supporter, making sure I have all the equipment I need while also checking in on my mental and emotional well-being. Their love and encouragement give me the confidence to keep pushing toward my goals.

I’m also grateful for the incredible support I receive from my team at Governor’s Towne Club. They have been very encouraging of my entrepreneurial journey, and it means so much to work in an environment that celebrates my dreams instead of limiting them.

My friends have also played a huge role by showing up, supporting my events, spreading the word, and believing in my vision. Seeing familiar faces at my events reminds me why I started this journey in the first place.

It truly takes a village to build a business, and I’m thankful to have a village that believes in me. Their unwavering support motivates me to continue growing, serving my community, and creating memorable experiences through great food.
