We had the good fortune of connecting with Doron Zohar and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Doron, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I started my dog training business solely on passion. I had very little financial expectations to begin with. To be honest all I wanted was in and around $60,000 a year. Little did I know it would turn into the one of the largest dog training facilities in America.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My number concern was always customer experience!
Forget the flash in the pan type salesman tactics.
I wanted the customer to feel valued, appreciated and catered to.
From day one, my business was set apart by the care we had for each of our clients and their dog. It was never about an ego and pushing an agenda. It was always about the results that each client was after. We did it in a loving and respectful manner. That alone brought clients back and our referrals are still 80% of our client stream as far as sales. The quality of training can be the best of the best. Treat a client poorly and you will become irrelevant very quickly.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We would first do dinner at The Third space in Atlanta. Chef Shai is an absolute wizard and caters the same experience as I in my business.
During the day we would drive a few of my cars in the north Georgia mountains and enjoy a day in the trails with adventure bikes in the mountains and the beautiful views we have to offer in this amazing state.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First is God. This was a massive leap of faith for me. Leaving my previous career and jumping head on with my last few hundred dollars left in my account.
Over the years. A client who is now like family Mike Keller. This man believed in my every move! Mike owns a construction company and built my first fence, then facility to now my mega training compound.
As far as business mentors. Conrad Mielcuszny the legendary CEO of genesis bio lab, has been a major contributor to my growth during hours of conversations and encouraging words that pushed me to grow and believe in myself and path I’ve taken.
