We had the good fortune of connecting with Tuesday Tillis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tuesday, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
The first time i said i wanted to be a model was about 8 years old. I was walking with my grandma and a modeling scout agency introduced themselves and asked to work with me. I never thought about what i wanted to be until that moment. After that day any chance i could watch pageants or fashion shows i was glued to the TV. Walking back and fourth in my grandmothers shoes imagining i was on that runway.

Now as i got older i also became a cheerleader and step team captain. Now dance is another one of my passions so i kind of put modeling on hold in middle school but still attended a couple of fashion shows. At this time also becoming a young woman i was still considering all options and trying to make sure i go for my true calling . Everyone always told me to choose something you love because you will enjoy the hard work it takes.

Now fast forward to my 21st birthday when i started going to clubs. That of course is when i began to go out with friends to clubs. It didn’t take long for me to get into modeling shortly after. I was approached by a club promoter to be a model ambassador for their club events and from their my career was created.

When i am modeling i just feel like this is my calling. I have been modeling for 5 years trying to establish my career and o know i will make it. I also love being a artistic muse to create art through photos. When i am working it never truly feels like work. My goal is to one day be able to quit my job and truly live my career full time.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
When i think about what sets me apart from other models is one my personality . I am a people person and also all about everyone winning. Sometime the production teams i worked with in past are amazed at how i only not promote myself but everyone one included. I feel like each time i meet someone i leave a great impression and positive vibes to try and brighten everyone’s day. I have came so in the industry by doing these things and being prompt to events and assignments book.

Being a model is not easy by far but if its your passion its worth it. Not because i am not good at my craft but because their are many beautiful models around the world. What has helped me over come this and be able to start building my brand on another level is none stop promoting. I saw a meme that said promote yourself even when no one else is rooting for you.

One thing i want to pass on as advice to models is keep working and keep posting. You never know who may run across your social media page. I wake up everyday and tell myself i am a famous model because manifesting is real . One thing i want people to know about me is that i am a loving person who cant see myself doing anything else and being truly happy.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Arizona actually has many great places to visit. One place i would take my friend is to The Vin . The Vin is a small little brunch place near downtown phoenix and they have great food and bottomless mimosas and who doesn’t love that. Also if you come to Arizona you have to check out the mountain views of the city. The best time to go is right before sunset. And then i would end our weekend on mill avenue which is kinda of compared to a mini vegas strip minus the casinos. The have many restaurants and night clubs you can go to and due to prices you can even hit more than one club if you wanted to go big.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Oh wow! I didn’t even have to think twice on who to choose for this question. I want to shout out my big sister Delta Marie. When i say she is the biggest supporter and support system i have . She just doesn’t know how much she means to me. So first thank you for giving me opportunity to show love to her.

When i say on the day when i have no supporters, friends , or family showing support i will always know she will. When i look out in the crowd at fashion shows and no one is their i know she will. When i tell her about anything she is always proud of me. When people say they have amazing siblings to have their back she is the definition of that.
