We had the good fortune of connecting with Teri Moore and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Teri, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Wanting to start my my own business has always been a passion of mine. When I was growing up I wanted to open a Personal Care Home for Seniors. I have always wanted to help people I feel like that’s my purpose in life. Although starting a cleaning company wasn’t an original thought losing my job during the pandemic was a perfect opportunity to step in and help people. Even though we were quarantined cleaning is still not most people favorite thing to do, hince the birth of My Cleaning Bees!
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I feel like what I learned most is to communicate and listen to the client. Building a rapport is a priority for me I like to be comfortable knowing who I’m working with and the same for my clients. I’m proud of myself for having the courage to step out on faith and start my business. I’m excited about growing meeting new people, helping, and giving back. I got to where I am by working hard learning as much as possible, and being willing to get my hands dirty. It was hard some days and easy on other days, but in the end I’m glad I went through it all to be where I am and going in the right direction now.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would definitely check out Tom Dick & Hanks near the old Turner Field great food and drinks. The Beverly located in East Atlanta, and for a wind down dance party Monticello Lounge in Marietta.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Absolutely there’s a long list of people that are a part of my support system. My daughter’s Erica & Jordan, but most importantly my grand daughter Taylor.
