We had the good fortune of connecting with Taresa Scott and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Taresa, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My journey began in 2017 when I completed my Master of Science in Education degree from Samford University in Birmingham, AL. In 2018, I moved to Dallas, TX where I was given the opportunity to begin my career with a Fortune 500 company developing e-learning courses for their internal and external employees. This experience ignited my passion for helping to solve business challenges through the use of interactive course modules, gamification and even through video. As an e-learning designer, I continuously develop training for employees that promotes brand love, helps employees make better financial decisions, spark behavioral change to drive results and build competencies in system use and process compliance.

Fast forward to 2021, I established my consulting firm, Bleuprint to bring my background in customer success, instructional design and e-learning development to help businesses evolve their training to connect with their employees of today. As we all know, COVID-19 took us by storm and I want to ensure that businesses have access to a professional to build their training programs in a virtual environment.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Bleuprint is a professional training and development consulting firm for e-learning. My goal is to drive user engagement and enhance performance results through the development of easy to navigate and interactive e-learning experiences. As a small business, I pride myself on being client-centric as this approach allows Bleuprint to provide a personalized experience.

I established this firm to share my passion of learning and development with others. What I value the most is being accessible to businesses that are looking to solve the challenge of getting their employees engaged with learning to educate them within their current job role, developing the skills and talent of existing employees, and even helping the businesses that are looking for a solution to retain their employees. It’s so important that all businesses in any industry recognize the value training can bring to their brand and I being there to help execute that vision.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If I had a friend visiting my city of Dallas, I would take them to Deep Ellum. The area is filled with hangouts for people looking to grab a drink, get a quick bite and filled with people looking to have a great time. Also, any friend of mine is most likely a sneaker head like myself, so Deep Ellum is also the home to one of my favorite sneaker stores, Politics and my personal favorite hangout, Punch Bowl Social. This spot alone guarantees a memorable trip.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I absolutely would like to send a special shoutout and thank you to my family. They’ve continuously supported my every decision and encourage me to be the change that I’d like to see in my life. It’s an amazing feeling to have a support system that sees something special in me, even when at times I may not see it for myself. I am beyond grateful and that alone has brought me the success that I have today.
