We had the good fortune of connecting with Tara Jae and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tara, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
The thought process behind starting my own business was, me wanting to be in control of my finances as well as being an example for my son. I wanted to prove to myself as well as to him, that we can be our own boss and build wealth by taking these steps now. For his children and my future grandchildren.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I currently hold a degree in Applied Behavioral Sciences/Psychology. Being raised in an urban community and seeing people be called crazy but not being provided or having access to programs and institutions to help them , encouraged me to be that person. Someone my people can come to for guidance and support.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Interesting things to do in my city is dining at Copper Cove in Buckhead, Atlanta, visiting the Martin Luther King home and memorial site as well as visiting the many social spots that Atlanta Georgia has to offer. Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
To recognize people and things that contributes to my success, is my mom first. She was a single mother raising five children working for Queens Hospital Center in New York City. We never felt were deprived of anything that we needed growing up. She made sacrifices that were unbeknownst to us at that time. I am so grateful and thankful for her Til this day we are her first priority. Another thing that played an important role in my current state of mind is this book I read called “The Secret “ by Rhonda Byrne. This book taught me the secret to manifesting the life I want and in being specific with my vocabulary. Asking the universe and God for what I want and desire.
