Meet SpiderTiff | Twitch Streamer & Content Creator

We had the good fortune of connecting with SpiderTiff and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi SpiderTiff, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
Since I’ve been a kid, I’ve always been pursuing dreams that were kind of outside the “norms” of society. With that, I’ve managed to find every way to break outside the mold that was set for me. I kind of felt myself deviating away from a normal life more and more recently and then one day I found Twitch. Streaming on Twitch kind of brought everything together for me, and I found a place I could call home. It’s a place where I can be my nerdy, outgoing, loud self and enjoy that with the community we’ve created through playing Video Games.

Lately, I’ve been working on branching out from just streaming video games and into content creation more, and I hope everyday that I can turn this passion into something that lasts. Creative careers, where you feel whole, where you feel like yourself and can chase your dreams invigorate something in me. Normal 9-5 desk jobs where you feel trapped, just won’t cut it. I’m not here to sell my soul, I’m here to set it on fire.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Streaming on Twitch has been an absolute journey with highs and lows, because you’re not JUST a streamer. You are the owner of your brand, you are a marketing specialist, you are a salesperson. You have to know every side of the business in order to grow and be successful. In my opinion, you grow everywhere besides Twitch itself.

I wouldn’t have gotten to where I am with streaming on Twitch, if I wasn’t constantly putting in 125% all the time. It’s a lot of tears and stress and not a lot of sleep. My determination to succeed and my passion for my community are what sets me apart. We’ve created an amazing Spidey Squad full of so many unique individuals that support everyone in our streaming community – and I’m so incredibly grateful for them being next to me while we pursue this crazy dream of ours.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Oh my gosh!!! I AM A GAMER!! We don’t even know what the outside looks like. Just kidding, but if I was going to take someone out for the weekend in Atlanta. We would definitely start off by hitting Krog Street Market – specifically for Fred’s Meat & Bread. They have some of the best Philly Cheesesteaks, and if you ask me – I’ll say they’re better than Philly Cheesesteaks from Philadelphia. From there, we’d hit the belt line for a bit until we make it to our next stop – AXIS REPLAY!

Axis Replay is home to some of my favorite people and favorite things to do. They host all kinds of events from gaming to singing and entertainment. It’s always a good time there. So if you haven’t been there, I highly recommend it.

For dessert or late night, we’re looking at Jeni’s Ice Cream and dropping into Verdansk 😉

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I wouldn’t be where I am, chasing my dreams of creating content on Twitch without my husband, Ashton and sister-in-law Alexa. Alexa showed me what Twitch was. She made me believe that I could pursue my dreams throughout this. Ashton went above and beyond to help me set everything up for my first stream, through helping me build a PC, setting up the streaming software, and the audio. There wouldn’t have been a first time clicking go live if it wasn’t for those two beautiful souls.
