We had the good fortune of connecting with Mr. Al Pete and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mr. Al, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
That there are employees, there are managers, and there are the owners. During this administrative journey, I see more, by the day, that people will simply be employees to your, and even their own dreams. Employees will be disgruntle and talk down on the person that are in upper status and have upper standards that compliment their overall vision.

What should our readers know about your business?
I’m the Co-Founder of Mister Peterson’s Neighborhood. We’re in the process of rebranding, so we go by The MPN Network, as well. I’m proud that people are noticing us as a positive resource to their media needs, as well as being a great reflection to the community I serve. Consistency and a genuine love for the service I’m providing has help the business grow. I’m working towards being a medium for the entertainment and creative scene in Jacksonville, Florida, and the surrounding areas. I want to make long-term connections with various influencers nationally, and help with assisting local/independent creatives to share their stories through various media outlets.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
For dining, I would take my best friend to Hawkers in Atlantic Beach, Florida. After that, we’ll walk the beach, which is a block east of the restaurant. We would visit the Riverside and hit up a local bar called Raindogs. They have a good selection of beer, and on Saturdays for brunch, I would hang there. The event is called ‘Beats and Bubbly’, where you can check out (DJ) EnerJi spinning some great Hip Hop, Soul, Afro Beat, etc. Peace to the good sir Mas Appeal for curating the event…and pouring up the mimosas! I would take my friend to The Ritz Museum, MOCA Jax, and to the Burrito Gallery…to eat again. Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
