We had the good fortune of connecting with Kayla Galloway and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kayla, let’s talk legacy – what do you want yours to be?
I want my legacy to be love, all encompassed love. I want to be remembered by that very love and passion that I put in all aspects of my life. Including business, every day interactions and most importantly my family.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
House of Serenity Health and Wellness is and online retail store focusing on all things wellness. We carry products including: a variety of organic herbs, mom and baby products, loose teas, crystal wrapped jewelry and more!
What sets us apart is that many of our products such as our mom and baby products, inclusive of loose teas, balms, soaps and body butters, are made and formulated by me. Being a doula and child birth educator I am able to use my expertise to create top notch products for our consumers.
The biggest obstacles are to overcome is rejection. Whether it be from a potential customer, distributer or my own self doubt. I overcome those challenges by reminding myself that nothing great ever comes without consistency and persistence. Those two things have allowed me to propel my business to one that sends packages every week to my amazing customers all over the country!
I want people to know that when they purchase from House of Serenity Health and Wellness they are purchasing from a company well versed in natural products. We ensure the quality of each and every item we place for purchase by taking pride in our customer experience and satisfaction!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Winston-Salem is a mix of deep history and budding growth. Some necessary visits would include Old Salem, the Arts District downtown, the Friday night Summer Jazz Series, the variety of breweries and the festival of lights at Tanglewood.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to my husband, Jay Galloway.
My husband is not only the mastermind behind all of my marketing, web development and graphic design, he is also the co-owner House of Serenity Health and Wellness.
He is the biggest supporter of any and every dream I have, no matter the size. I would not be where I am today without his unrelenting love and support.
