We had the good fortune of connecting with Joshua N. Walker and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Joshua N., we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process behind all of this was BUSY!

My mind was racing trying to figure out how to make this brand different, what target I wanted to reach, and was this really going to be a successful business.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am the Lead Designer & Creative Director for J.W. FINISHED WOMENS AND MENSWEAR

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my friends were visiting Chicago for a week long trip; this would be very interesting. I am very adventurous and random 95% of the time. Places would go would be to the Shed Aquarium, The Illinois Art Institute of chicago…my friends are foodies, so certainly Federales, Lizzy J’ Cafe, Starbuck Reserve, and Siena Tavern.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would say my core friendships with individuals that encourage me daily.
