We had the good fortune of connecting with Jamez T. and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jamez, what do you think makes you most happy? Why?
What makes me happy is creating stories, visuals, and experiences that bring people together. As a director, producer, and entrepreneur, I have the opportunity to turn ideas into meaningful moments that inspire, entertain, and connect people from different backgrounds and walks of life.

I believe the true art of life exists in the balance between what we see through the lens and what we feel through sound. Whether through film, music, or business, my greatest fulfillment comes from creating something that makes people smile, think differently, or feel seen and understood.

Success is valuable, but impact is what drives me. Creating opportunities for others, helping communities grow, and leaving a positive legacy through creativity and storytelling is what truly makes me happy.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art is about connection, impact, and legacy. As a director, producer, entrepreneur, and storyteller, I use film, music, and creative experiences to bring people together and remind people of what’s possible. I believe the most powerful stories don’t just entertain—they inspire, heal, educate, and create opportunities for others.

What sets me apart is that I don’t see creativity as just content. I see it as a bridge. Whether I’m producing a film, developing a brand, mentoring young creatives, or building relationships across communities and cultures, my goal is always the same: create something meaningful that leaves people better than I found them.

My journey hasn’t been easy. I’ve faced challenges, setbacks, and moments of uncertainty that could have made me quit. Instead, those experiences strengthened my faith, sharpened my vision, and taught me resilience. Every obstacle became a lesson, and every lesson became part of the foundation I’m building today.

One of the things I’m most proud of is being able to create projects that connect people from different backgrounds and experiences. From film productions and entrepreneurial ventures to community-focused initiatives, I’ve learned that success means very little if it doesn’t create opportunities and inspire others along the way.

What I want the world to know about Jamez T. is that this brand is bigger than me. It represents creativity, purpose, authenticity, and service. My mission is to use storytelling, visuals, and sound to inspire people, build community, and leave a lasting impact. If my work encourages even one person to pursue their purpose, dream bigger, or believe in themselves, then I’ve done something worthwhile.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend comes to Atlanta, I’m not just showing them the city—I’m curating an experience. Everything I do is intentional, and Atlanta is a place where culture, business, and creativity all collide. We’re starting with food, because that’s where every story begins. I like to balance elevation with authenticity—so we might hit Umi for a refined experience, or step into The Garden Room or STK for that high-energy atmosphere. But I’ll always bring it back to the foundation with spots like Busy Bee Café or Old Lady Gang—because that’s where the real Atlanta lives. From there, we’re moving through the BeltLine—that’s the pulse of the city. You see the culture, the creators, the energy all in motion. We’ll slide through Ponce City Market, head up to 9 Mile Station, and tap into spaces like Westside Provisions—places that feel curated, not random. As someone who lives through creativity and storytelling, I’m intentional about music. I’m taking them to Apache XLR, City Winery, or St. James Live—spaces where the sound is real, the talent is raw, and the energy is felt. That’s the type of environment that inspires me as a creator. And depending on the night, we’re stepping into the right rooms—where the conversations, the energy, and the people align. Because in Atlanta, it’s not about being everywhere—it’s about being in the spaces that inspire growth and connection. We’ll take time to reset too—Piedmont Park or a rooftop like Virtue—just to step back, reflect, and take in the city from a higher vantage point. That balance is important. At the end of the day, Atlanta is more than places—it’s a lifestyle driven by culture, creativity, and vision. And the way I move through it is the same way I build anything—with purpose, intention, and a focus on creating something that lasts.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I don’t view success as something you achieve alone—I see it as something you build on the strength, sacrifice, and vision of others. My foundation starts with my parents, my siblings, and my family. They instilled in me discipline, accountability, and resilience—the core principles that guide every decision I make as a leader. Without that foundation, none of this would exist. To my circle—those who have stood with me through every transition from vision to execution—you’ve been more than support, you’ve been alignment. You challenged me, sharpened me, and stood firm when the pressure tested everything. That level of loyalty is rare, and I don’t take it lightly. And most importantly, I move with purpose for the next generation. The kids who are watching, learning, and preparing to step into their own greatness—they are the reason I refuse to operate at anything less than a high standard. Leadership is not just about building success, it’s about modeling it. What I’m building is bigger than me—it’s about legacy, ownership, and creating impact that outlives my presence. I’m grateful for every individual who has played a role in that journey, because real success is measured not just by what you achieve, but by who you elevate along the way.
