We had the good fortune of connecting with Ephraim Benton and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ephraim, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process was that I wanted to create an authentic brand that represents what I stood for and to help build a lasting legacy for my family. I knew that in order to watch stories that I wanted the world to see on the big screen, that I needed to create them. So I started my own business to produce different projects.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Award-Winning Producer and Creator.

I’ve been in the entertainment business as an actor for over 27 years and 15 years as a producer. I started in 1995 and became a professional actor when I booked a Anti-violence PSA for the NBA that ran nationwide.

Had to stay determined, persistent and self motivated all the time when things weren’t going according to plan.

My appetite for becoming a driving force in Hollywood has only been enhanced by goals to create authentic content that inspires. Born in Brooklyn, NY and the oldest of seven. I’ve always had to lead by example for my siblings.

I have used my life experience and success as a platform to give back to the neighborhood I was raised in with my non-profit organization. Where I did events to empower the community and bring arts to the neighborhood.

One of my proudest moments was bringing the star of “Precious” and other castmates to a neighborhood film screening in the local park.

I want the world to no that I’ve never given up. I just had to step back, evaluate and reinvent myself many times over. I had to learn how to balance my career in the entertainment business with my ever growing family.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
