We had the good fortune of connecting with Ebony Porter-Ike and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ebony, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
The epiMediaGroup, LLC’s objective is to help small businesses execute on their passion and dreams. For many years I have worked with big businesses and increased their revenue. To be able to help small or emerging businesses obtain major success is our purpose. We see ourselves as servants in this industry. We are here to simply help and exemplify our clients goals.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Our agency is focused on developing PR and Marketing campaigns that directly impact our clients bottom line. We are very strategic in our marketing and pr campaigns. It’s important to be creative and think outside of the traditional means of public relations to make your clients stand out in today’s market. With this, you must be very careful who you choose to partner with in this business. Your affiliation is directly related to your reputation. It is important that we continue working with reputable brands and we continue to do work that TRULY MATTERS. Therefore our agency has become very selective in our client base and our strategic partnerships.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
First off, I am assuming that this would be post PANDEMIC. Because in our current situation, I would not be going ANYWHERE (LOL). But if the pandemic was over, I would start off by taking them to the Monticello for some live entertainment and great crab legs. Next, I would look for the latest concert and purchase tickets to attend there, lastly I would end our time together with a DAY LONG EXPERIENCE at Spa Sydel. I am big on Mind,Body and Soul.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are so many people and organizations that have been instrumental in our success. For one, I would like to recognize Hosea Helps and the Retired National Basketball Association. Working with these two clients allowed us to really create a foot print in the industry. They trusted our process and allowed us to be creative. Because of them, we were able to grow and continue to develop as a firm. I would also like to THANK my late mentor, BobbyBurwell II. He was such a supportive leader and continued to pour into my career and my success. He always told me that anything that I wanted, I was going to have. He believed in me more than I believed in myself. And lastly, I would like to shoutout my father, Gerald C Porter. He began developing my entrepreneur mindset early on. He made me believe that barriers did not exist and if they did, HE WOULD MOVE THEM FOR ME. He is my modern day SUPER HERO!
