We had the good fortune of connecting with David Cain and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi David, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thought process behind starting my own business is motivated behind having more personal time. I also just feel my purpose in life is something greater than just a 9-5 lifestyle. It’s always more that can be done. I’m here to work, create and build. I like being my own boss. It’s just something about being passionate for something your creating.
What should our readers know about your business?
Mixtapemessiahdaily.com is a conglomerate of things, we do interviews and media, we manage artist, we throw festivals (messiah fest) and we have a recording studio (MMD Studios). We are a one stop shop.
Creating this brand was easy because I revamped myself, I corrected my mistakes and had more of a clear vision to execute goals. Now the company and brand before it was a lot harder. People know me now, so they respect the brand.
Some lessons I learned with the journey is, don’t be afraid to take risk! Risk taking is apart of manhood….chances make champions
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Lucca, Taverna, “The Hill” (s/o the Jeep Crew I can’t disclose the location lol), American Deli, Top Golf, Peters St, Edgewood, Pregame Sports Bar, The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to give a shout-out to all affiliated brands who stamped and co-sign me in my active DJ days. Ilovemyplug, Teambiggarankin, Street money worldwide, concrete music management, dirtyglovebastard, makin it magazine, k-100 radio, Detroit diesel music group, mixtapemessiahdaily. All these brands have consistent supported my career in very helpful ways.
