We had the good fortune of connecting with Chas’Tyana Jones and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chas’Tyana, other than deciding to work for yourself, what else do you think played a pivotal role in your story?
Other than deciding to work for me, the single most important decision I made that contributed to my success was to stop being so hard on myself about love. As a teenager it is easy to get caught up in the love life fantasy and it could alter your long-life goals and cause permanent situations. It took a lot in me to realize I was in my senior year of high school that life was getting real ,and I had big girl goals I needed to accomplish before I left my high school to make sure I had a pretty good head start on life during college. In October 2020, I decided to let go of my ex. This is when I was able to put my complete focus on my future. I have accomplished a lot without love and relationships and I was able to add another collection of my business. In my life, love is what pushed me behind in different opportunities or I just didn’t see my full potential because I was worried about something that didn’t matter in the long run. I know this could be a problem in our youth and I probably won’t be the last to deal with this. My business and I flourished when I learned to focus on bettering myself for my future.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I started out making clothes and just dyeing hair. Then it led me to actually doing other people’s and becoming a hair influencer. I got more interactive with the media about my brand and spiced it up with my personality. I am most proud of stepping out of my comfort zone and obtaining different target audiences on each social media platform. I have had people fly and ship their wigs all the way to Atlanta, Ga. I’ve done influencers hair with over a million followers. It’s a happy feeling coming from a small town seeing the reach of how much I worked hard to expand my brand.

I am heavily influenced on social media of seeing others my age, younger or older having major accomplishments and are rich. This helped me realize that I have control over my life and it is up to me to go chase the life I personally desire and know I can have for myself too.

Once I started something I realized I couldn’t stop. Every time I kept going something greater happened and every time I stopped I took 10 steps back from the life I worked so hard to get away from.

A lesson that I learned along the way is that God will keep removing things out of your life that mean no good for you. I learned to listen to his signs and live with him by all means.

I want adults, kids, and teenagers to be inspired and influenced on what I was able to do and accomplish for myself in such little timing and a young age to make them believe that no dream is too big or too small, you can do anything you want to do in life.

My brand is based on my personality. The Crazed Effect represent’s how i am. I have an adventurous personality and Im very goofy. I can learn things in little timing and master it. I do services for people and they support in everything I offer. I color wigs in crazy cute colors and i feel like my presence gives people a good effect. To tie that all together I call my brand The Crazed Effect.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to give a shoutout to God. God looks over me and protects me with every single thing I do. I also want to give a shoutout to Akivia Miquelle Blue who has made the biggest impact on me being an entrepreneur. The beginning of my junior year of high school I won Akivia’s hometown giveaway and in this giveaway I received a mentorship that opened me to my future. She & her best friend gave me encouraging words that made me feel like I could do anything in the world. It’s crazy how that turned me into being a clothing designer and a hairstylist i never would have expected everything to lead to that. Years later, Akivia has been one call away for me every time I call. I also want to shoutout Alexis George for furthering my knowledge on how to operate a LLC and being a big help in my adult life.
