We had the good fortune of connecting with André Heath and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi André, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
We as owners collectively gravitate towards the quote, “Find what sparks a light in you and illuminate the world”. Our sole purpose in starting Spark Fit Training is to provoke change in people’s lifestyles and in turn elevate our community to a better way of living through the promotion of healthy habits/fitness. We have a member base of different demographics, which encourages a sense of community, where we uplift each other to achieve a common goal.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The fitness industry is overly saturated with a lot of trainers but we don’t try to reinvent the wheel when it comes to programming the workouts, instead, we pay close attention to our client’s needs then create a practical solution. We want our clients to understand the task and be knowledgeable in how to overcome the many obstacles throughout their transformation journey.

All three owners, Joslyne, Brian, and I (André) came from different backgrounds professional but all played sports whether in high school or in college and fell in love with fitness. We all ended up working for the same well-creditable fitness club and elevated to managerial roles but overtime didn’t agree with many of their business practices. With our growing frustration plus the COVID-19 pandemic, we took a leap of faith with the launch of Spark Fit Training and this has been our proudest and most exciting accomplishment to date.

Our goal is to help motivate and inspire people to push past their limits, and we’re doing the same by striving each day to create solutions and overcome challenges along the way. We’re motivated to learn each day how to work smarter not harder and protect our mental health personal/professional so we can showcase the best attitude while growing our business and build up our community.

Spark, by definition, means to ignite, inspire, and as a brand, we want to cater to your burning desire for change.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We enjoy the older parts of the city. The areas that give Atlanta its culture. We love Piedmont Park but also the revitalized areas near 4th Ward like walking on the BeltLine before getting a few drinks and tacos at BarTaco. Checking out the vintage clothes shops in Little Five Points and grabbing a burger at The Vortex. We’re from Marietta, so we love that the Braves are a lot closer to catch a game at the Battery. Then we burn off all the calories from the weekend by climbing Stone Mountain or going to Cascade Skating Sunday evening. Or maybe just relax by shooting the Hooch.
