We had the good fortune of connecting with Vendi Beauzile-Etienne and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Vendi, why did you pursue a creative career?
I pursue an artist career because I enjoy rapping , singing , modeling and acting and being on stage . My wish is to perform in front of thousands of people .

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My art is to inspire others like me young diverse talents . What set me apart from others is my nationality, my sense of fashion and my music . I’m proud of myself and excited of what’s coming next I have a lot of plans for the future and looking forward to it . I got to where I am by my hard work, practicing and motivation . No it is not as easy as it looks . I overcome my challenge by having a good mind set, learn from my mistake and actually pushing/ challenging my self . The lessons I have learned is to never give up and its good to challenge yourself, believing and positivity is the key to success . I want the world to know that I worked hard to get to where I’m at right now and cant wait to share the journey with them.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take them to Atlanta show them around , we can go to trampoline park, zoo, aquarium to hang out and I can take them to Chick-fil-a or pizza buffet to eat .

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Shoutout to my parents, family members and everybody that believed in me .
