Meet Vanesa Sonea | Model, Marketing Specialist, and Rising Influencer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Vanesa Sonea and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Vanesa, how do you define success?
For me personally, the definition of success is constantly achieving your goals and being self-sufficient from doing what you love.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Currently, I am working as a marketing specialist for a tech company while pursuing my modeling career as well. Having two outlets that I am passionate about always keeps me busy. I am proud of my accomplishments and how much I have learned about not only the industries I am in, but also how much I have learned about myself. Nothing comes easy, I found myself stressing out with balancing everything I have in my life, while also trying to stay focused and hone in on my goals. One lesson I have learned is that no matter how much you worry or stress about things, everything will work out in the end. Think about it, something that you were worried about last month, are you even thinking about it now? Probably not. It just comes to show that what you want in this life, you can get, and to not let roadblocks or self-doubt try to get in the way of your goals. Another thing I learned, is that consistency is key! It doesn’t matter what you are doing, if you are constantly doing it, you will end up where you want to be.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
There is so much to do in the city! The best way to start my morning is at a local coffee shop, my favorites are Hodgepodge Coffee House, Joe’s, or good ol’ Starbucks. Then I would make my way over to Little Five Points or Ponce City Market. There are so many unique shops, thrift stores, and yummy places to eat. I could easily spend a whole day at these places. My ideal dinner spots would be Eclipse di Luna if you’re feeling some tapas or Eight Sushi. Hands down some of the best food in the city. At night I would look up local events and go to a sports game, concert, or go out to a fun bar or nightclub! Here in Atlanta, there are endless fun activities to do.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Definitely my mom. She has always been there for me through everything and has encouraged me every step of my journey. Whether it was advice, a shoulder to cry on, or just simply believing in me, she has always been my rock and someone who truly wants the best for me. She is a believer and a dreamer like I am, but she is also very logical and humbling, which is a good balance to have.
