We had the good fortune of connecting with Tyrik Wynn and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tyrik, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
-Keeping God 1st
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
The thing that sets me apart from others is that I started my journey very young. Every time I meet someone they always say, “wow, I wish I was doing what I am doing now at your age.” I am most proud that my talk show, “Tyrik On The Move” has officially made it to television. The show comes on every Tuesday at 8pm on channel 21.1. It was not easy, there were many challenges that stepped in my path, but I overcame them by praying and putting God first. I’ve learned lots of valuable lessons along the way. I’ve learned to do lots of research on my guests that I plan to have on the show so I can ask great questions that will set me apart from other talk show hosts. I have also learn that you have to be aggressive and act like a shark in this industry because nobody is going to give it to you, you have to work for it. I want the world to know that I am the next up and coming star, they will see my show on national TV one day, I’m a people person and I love interacting with others and I am down to earth and very humble.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My best friend would have the best time of their life because I would take them to some of Atlanta’s hottest landmarks and fun places. For food, we would eat at some of my favorite restaurants, Maggiano’s, Pappadeaux, Cheesecake Factory, Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse, Blaze Pizza, Kirby G’s and more. We would hang out at Six Flags Over Georgia, Six Flags White Water, Centennial Park, CNN Center, State Farm Arena for a Hawks game, Mercedes Benz Stadium for a Falcons game, Lenox Mall, Cumberland Mall and Atlantic Station. Also we would have to go to some 18+ clubs because I’m not 21 just yet.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to dedicate my shout out to Lord, without his blessings and favor I would not be where I am today. I want to shout out my parents; by biggest support system. My parents provided me with one of the best lives a child could have which gave me the opportunity to have so many choices in life. Shout out to some of the local radio and TV personalities here in Atlanta for their mentorship and guidance through this journey. Shout out to Michelle Amarra for allowing me to be part of SCB and bringing my show on the TV network.
