We had the good fortune of connecting with Tyrell Ware and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tyrell, what do you attribute your success to?
My faith in God is the most important factor behind my success. God has provided me with the ability to use my imagination to overcome obstacles and the will to perservere. He has provided me with genetics and has created the opportunities I have taken advantage of. All of those ingredients have allowed to become successful. Also, having a great parent in my mother, Flossie Ware, to support me and give me wisdom.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a professional model and actor that has appeared on major ads and television shows. I have walked the runway for Sean John, Macy’s, Russell Simmons, Belk and many other designers. I have appeared in major ads for Macy’s, Steinmart and even NBA 2k as a motion capture athlete. I have appeared on television shows such as Single Ladies and Born Again Virgin. What sets me a part from other models is I am an author and I do motivational speaking. I am a certified life coach. I have my own business, Trinity Basketball Training, that teaches the youth and professionals. I got where I am professionally by walking into an agency and being discovered. I got to this level with hard work and my ability to deliver a professionalism to the clients I have worked for. I think I am the product of people giving me a chance.

I am so excited about the direction my career is headed. My mindset has really improved and it has allowed me to grow both internally and externally. I have a few major projects on tap for 2022 that are going to allow me to gain more exposure.

It definitely hasn’t been easy. However; it was necessary. There have been obstacles but they actually have made me better. I say that it was necessary because the harder road makes you appreciate the good things that are going to happen.

The lessons that I have learned during this journey is to focus on the process and not just the results. The only way to make to the destination is to complete a series of steps. There is no way around it. I am learning to embrace this. And secondly, create my own game or system within the system . By doing this I have defined success for myself and no one could take my successes away from me or diminish them.

I want them to know that there are still good people in Atlanta striving to do things the right way and that if given the right opportunity, we can flourish and be successful. We just need a platform and solid opportunity. Articles such as this shine the spotlight on us.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
First I would take the on a walk to the top of Stone Mountain. Its a great way to start the day. Afterwards, we would to go to Fellinis for Pizza to refuel. We would go to Skyview Atlanta to ride the ferris wheel. Later we would go and get dinner at my favorite restaurant, The Cheescake Factory. Later that night, we would go out a after hour spot to dance and listen to music. Then we could finish the night at Cafe Intermezzo for coffee and conversation.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?

I would like to thank my good friend, the rapper Jeremiah Jacksun. He made this possible. He keeps me sharp and on point. We practice on our interview skills and it has helped me to grow in that area. My agencies Select Atlanta, Poshe Productions and Presence Models and Talent. My friend Leo Clark and Jennifer Pratt who were the first to give me opportunity at a professional modeling agency.
