We had the good fortune of connecting with Trudie Robinson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Trudie, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
I feel that I am very honest and always try to get the best deal for my client. I am always here to help a client. I had a client that missed their first flight to their honeymoon. I spent all day on Sunday helping them get on a flight the next day and letting resort know that would be arriving next day.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I have been a Travel agent since 1982 and worked for many agencies. I opened my first storefront agency in 2002. I have have connected to several agencies since then and I opened Trudie Travel in 2018. I feel that the wonderful staff that I have working with me helps me to sell so many locations in the world.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would head to Jamaica. We would book club mobay at the airport for added comfort and enjoyment. We would stay at 2 resorts. We would start at Couples Ocho Rios and get one of the spa room. We could get spa treatment all the time. We would head out to. Blue Hole for some cliff jumping one day. Then we would stop by Sconties for some great jerk chicken. Three days later we would head to Iberostar Grand Resort for some fun and great food. We start back home with another visit at Club Mobay for food and drinks. Finally get on the plane home and start planning our next adventure.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Diana Woodson, my mother she was a travel agent and loved what she did. Trish Noa, Suzanne Rodgers and Kathy Brock are travel representatives that have shown me support and helped me in mant ways
