Meet Timiah Brooks | Aestetics Major & MUA

We had the good fortune of connecting with Timiah Brooks and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Timiah, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
My favorite quote is ” If you don’t live for something you will die for Anything” I truly feel if you don’t know your purpose in the world this would ultimately help you figure it out in the long run. When I was younger I wanted a tattoo badly ,so I picked the first thing that stood out to me .When I became of age it made more sense to me . If you dream big and find your purpose everything else will follow behind. In my case ,I m living for my nieces and nephews who lost both mother and father ! I’m building my brand of their strength. I love the fact that i truly live by the quote. I love how its not sugar coating anything you either do or you don’t ! I honestly think about it like being in a race with myself ,pushing me to run faster every time i feel like I’m slowing down.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’ve been doing make up for years just for fun. I started out doing mine and working on my craft then with my mom ,and so on. I’m 24 now, and wouldn’t trade what has happen to me these lasts few months for anything . love being in control in making people feel good about their looks. You can have many followers, clients ,money. I provide a service that brings you at peace. I have opened up the door so that my clients can be 100% themselves and still enjoy their services. My positivity and charm alone makes me different, Because i meet people where they’re when they sit in my chair. I’m a goof ball and tend to uplift spirits with just my laugh or smile. I’m proud I stepped out on faith. Without it i would still be setting a launching date ! I’m ready to see what the world has in store for me and My future businesses. I surpassed my goals i made when i first began .That alone made me want to keep pushing, As long as my savor is with me i will not fail . Im excited about leaving a legacy behind. It took me a while to learn how to be professional ,but myself . I didn’t over think the process I learned how to adapt to different settings I am put in . No it was not easy ,but through hard work ,research, and tenacity i achieved my professional goal. The best lesson ive learned is To never give up no matter how late you start you can still win the race! Behind this smile their once was pain, and now their is growth, love, and i want the world to know i am Strong, Diverse, and love everyone ! Look out Atlanta this is just the beginning ! My Brand speaks for itself ,It Traps every face .
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Food is life ,so Monday I would definitely stop to get some good food. I love seafood so i would take her to Krab queenz. They have the best seafood I’ve tasted here so far. Some good crab legs and some potatoes and corn would definitely do the job. Its the middle of the day so I would take her to the mall for a some retail therapy ! Then after a nail date . I wouldn’t say Im a home body but we like chill laid back sceneries .Later that night we would chill with my favorite wine and listen to some music and have the hookah rolling. Tuesday is a new day ! we would get dressed ,then head to brunch at Another Broken Egg. Let us not forget they have bottomless mimosa’s. We would probably go to some of the boutiques down town .I would take her to “Shane Justine” they have some comfortable yet stylish clothing . I love strolling getting fresh air and enjoying peace. Wednesday, We would go get massage’s at JEJU the best spa in town. after i would take her to rays in the city for some good steak . Thursday, I would take her to the flying biscuit . Get some food then head out to the Trap Museum afterwards. Later that night we would go to Boogalou Lounge for the best Lams chops in ATL, and enjoy the night life scenery. Friday i would cook her a home cooked meal before i take her to board her flight.
