Meet Tiffany Parker | Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tiffany Parker and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tiffany, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind my success is my “Why” and my “How”. Many people in business discuss one or the other, but in my experience both have been instrumental. Why am I in business? How will I move? How will my businesses operate? How will myself and the businesses make people feel?
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I consider myself an artist even though I have an MBA and love business operations. My artwork is expressed through me, my businesses, my personal life and story. It is me and I am It.
What sets me apart is what sets us all apart, individuality. I’m most proud of my authenticity and then my creative genius (which to some may sound boastful but we could all use a little more self-hyping I believe). Second to my own personal growth, I’m most proud of my businesses, Parker Avenue and BE(i) Apparel.
Both businesses represent me in different ways. Parker Avenue was started as one idea and grew into Customized Fashion Events designed, developed and managed by myself. This one is special because it gives me the opportunity to showcase local designers, photographers, MUAs, and others in the fashion and arts sector in authenticity. We do not conform to the Industry, but instead join it as we are.
BE(i) Apparel ( pronounced Be) is fantastic because we get to educate people on Ancient West African Adinkra and culture, encourage freedom of speech/choice, and create really dope street wear at the same time. Designs are hand drawn by myself and then converted into graphics.
The biggest and most important lesson I’ve learned along this journey was to meditate and trust myself first.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
So my favorite person in the world, Ashley Penchion happens to visit often from New Orleans and we do it all in Atlanta! There’s always something to do or see and it’s filled with brown magic.
Some places we have gone and loved are Poor Calvin’s (the crispy beef and panko lobster tail are wonderful).
Restaurant 356 is always a win for a glass of Uncle Nearest’s finest whiskey and a wagyu burger. And if you have time, you can take a spin around the track in the Porsche of your choice.
Sweet Hut Bakery is the perfect place for people like me who miss living in Japan. Get all of your mochi, red bean bun and deliciousness.
There’s also Papi’s Cuban Restaurant near Ponce for the best Jerk Chicken sandwich and cuban coffee or Cortadito. The beans are fantastic too.
We stop in at Fernbank Musuem and Forest for a walk through the trees and history. It’s absolutely beautiful.
If you’re in for overnight, we love the Clermont Hotel and if you want an interesting time, go downstairs to the Clermont Lounge, one of the oldest operating gentlemen clubs in the country and women owned.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to shoutout Kai Love. Kai is an artist of many sorts, but mostly a writer. Kai is the first person who introduced me to meditation and helped me to have better relationships with people. My relationships and meditation have played huge parts in my success and I credit Kai for introducing me to the knowledge.
