We had the good fortune of connecting with Tiffany Boykins and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tiffany, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
If you don’t build your dreams someone will hire you to build theirs “ This quote inspired me especially coming from my very humble beginnings. I didn’t even know wedding /event planners existed!! I sure didn’t see any growing up. I went to FSU and earned a BS in business management . I decided after becoming a mom of 4 beautiful girls that the 9-5 or 9-7 lol was too much for me. I’m a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. and was the chairman for our fundraising committee for many years that’s when I realized I had a passion for Events. Hence the beginning of Events BY Tiffany. It’s a very hard market to get established in and referrals are my source of marketing. I’m proud to say I’ve worked with some fantastic clients and businesses such as Communique ’USA, CK Danceworks , OrthroZone, Just Jai Wear to name a few. I’m very proud to be on the preferred vendor list at Callanwolde Fine Arts Museum in Atlanta ,GA.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
First , I think God for the gift of creativity but what I often tell and show my clients is that their important event or wedding is just as important to me as it is to them. Clients have said they see the excitement in my eyes when a creative idea comes to my mind. I give each event my complete attention and will only schedule one major event a day so that I can make sure it’s a complete success. I’m licensed and insured and consider my personality to be classy, friendly yet all business type of person .

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Wow.. very interesting question. Most my friends want me to plan our social events. I like paying attention to the small details. I would make dinner reservations at one of my favorite restaurants Hal’s. Then the next morning start would start with a spa visit followed by lunch and a little shopping. The night would end with late night coffee and dessert. Sunday’s, I’m always up for a fabulous brunch and mimos bar. If it’s a persons first time in Atlanta, the Jimmy Carter Center and the Civil Rights museum are a must see.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Aside from my husband Jeff Boykins, and my daughters (Kayla, Lauren, Julia and Olivia ) My Local Cobb County Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. have been some of my biggest supporters from the beginning. Additional, I have had the support of my sister Chef Angie Shaghaghi and so many of my family and friends that continue to support and believe in me. For that I say “Thank you!” Now lets continue to celebrate life and make memorable events.
