We had the good fortune of connecting with TERRACE REVIES and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi TERRACE, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
I was born and raised in Hattiesburg, Mississippi in a neighborhood called East Jerusalem Quarters. Mississippi is the birthplace of America’s music and the home of the Blues. Music was a major part of my upbringing because I grew up in a household and neighborhood full of music lovers. My hometown is rich in music history. Hattiesburg has been very impactful in my life which is why I’m currently working behind the scene in the music industry.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets me apart is before I transitioned into the music business, my first career profession was the United States Army. My trade was a 19 Delta Cavalry Scout with a specialty in Reconnaissance. My journey has not been easy, I served in Iraq and Afghanistan and I’m currently managing living with PTSD and TBI from my combat experiences. I overcomes all my challenges through prayer, meditation and great support system. I’ve learned that life is what you make it and If you manifest or build it, everything will come. The main lesson is always Be your own Boss.
I was always involved in the music industry in some kind of way but after 21 years of active duty service I retired in 2015 and started full time in the music business.
Our company Musician Tailors, LLC was started based on helping artist and musicians that reached out for advice and guidance. My Leadership abilities, skills and combat experiences are a instrumental in my brand.
I would like to let my current military service personnel and the world to know there is life after the military and your current situation. You just have to find what you love to do or passionate about and make it happen.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My true friends and family know me very well and what I stand on. I work in the music industry so the last thing I’m personally trying to go is a club environment. I would tell them to bring a small backpack, good hiking boots or shoes, comfortable clothes so we can take a walk up Stone Mountain so that can see Atlanta from 1,686 above sea level. Another spot would be Top Golf for fun, food and drinks and if they are in the music industry I would take them to a Dinner with ATL Top 20 event, Grindin’ Entertainment Studio or Plugged In Studios for some music networking.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
This is a very great question and I would like to give a huge and special Shout Out to God, my son Zechariah, my parents Terrace Sr. and Anna Revies, my business partner Dorrell “Twin” Smith, the United States Army, my hometown of Hattiesburg and family, friends and associates I’ve met along this journey called Life!

I would like to send a Special Shout to my mentors Regina Davenport, David Banner, Kawan “KP the Great” Prather, Team Be Great & Team A Banner Vision & Team KeePushin.
