We had the good fortune of connecting with TeQuila Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi TeQuila, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind my success is 100% God and authenticity. I stopped rushing or comparing myself and started trusting the process. Being genuine in everything I do has always been what sets me apart because people can feel when something is real. Taking a leap of faith and betting on myself even when I could not see the full picture is what changed everything for me. I did not have it all figured out and I still do not but I show up anyway. When you lead with faith and stay true to who you are the right doors will open. That has always been my foundation and it always will be.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My career journey has been anything but linear and that is what makes it mine..NO pun intended as a healthcare analyst! I have worked in the business industry, earned my Master’s in Business Analytics in 2024, and currently work full time as a healthcare analyst in the MedTech industry. As a Black woman in Tech I take pride in taking up space in rooms that were not always built for us. The road was not always easy but I never stopped investing in myself and I never stopped believing. Every twist and turn was preparing me for exactly where I am supposed to be and I am proud of how far I have come!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend, Shekinah, were visiting Atlanta I know exactly where we would go. The first stop is the Atlanta Botanical Garden because she absolutely loves the views, and honestly, it is breathtaking every single time. We stay taking pictures! It is the kind of place that instantly puts you in a good mood even though she knows i’m not a nature person. She would always ask about the large Earth Goddess or the Alice in Wonderland theme! Then we are definitely headed to Your 3rd Spot because I love the arcade and gaming side and together we always find a way to have the best time no matter what. Good food, creative cocktails, and nonstop fun? Literally our go to! Between the garden views and the good energy at Y3S, she would literally would be planning her next trip back.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First and foremost I have to give all glory to God for making a way and being my guidance through it all. None of this would be possible without Him. I also have to shoutout my boyfriend RayDenardo who has believed in me from day one without hesitation. He is my whole heart and having that unwavering support means everything. To my family who has always been in my corner thank you. To my friends that’s believed in me and even mentioned my name in rooms unimaginable. As someone who loves to read, I also want to shoutout the book The Mountain Is You which helped me recognize the areas in my own life that were holding me back from becoming who I am meant to be. That book was a game changer for me. And to creators like Jackie Aina and Dearra who showed me that Black girls are more than welcome in creator space and that you can show up fully and unapologetically as yourself. They are perfect examples that anything is possible! They both inspired me more than you know. This journey is not a solo one and I am grateful for every person and every thing that poured into me along the way.
