We had the good fortune of connecting with Ta’sha Henry A.K.A Stylish Eye Diva and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ta’sha Henry, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thought process behind starting my own business honestly I was clueless at first. I had that 9-5 mentality. I never thought I would be a business owner. I didn’t know anybody could be a entrepreneur I thought it was for “special people” at first. But once I learned how to changed my mindset and tapped into it I realized my gift was in fashion and mindset shifting from trial error life experiences.
What should our readers know about your business?
I am the owner and creator of The Good Vibe Collection which is a fashion accessories and apparel brand that spreads positive energy with style! My good vibe energy sets me apart from others! Known for The Good Vibe Bracelets my accessories are reminders that in order to be cute on the outside it starts from the inside. I am most excited about my brand because as a fashionista and retired fashion stylist I realize we as black women need to be uplifted more mentally and since we love fashion I link the two together. I also created a wholesale program for other women like myself to be able to purchase The Good Vibe Bracelets & spread positive energy with style while making money doing it. I believe there is enough for all of us to be successful & win! This was not a walk in the park I had to learn through taking a leap of faith, networking/alignment with the right people for me and taking action by doing the work. I learned everything from trial and error. I worked a 9-5 job thinking that was life until I became a entrepreneur. With no experience I interned for Shun Melson & became her assistant if I would have said no to the opportunity because I didn’t have degrees or experience my life would be totally different right now! So don’t be scared to qualify yourself ! Social media has also help me grow and come into contact with dope people. And my recent trail was the hacking of my instagram page @stylisheyediva I lost 21k followers that I built through the years and I am still fighting to get it back. Tip if you have a business make sure you have a backup page I did but I have to still rebuild! But in the meantime I had to cry for a second and then boss up and turn this negative situation into a positive so I am using it as a marketing tool to rebuild. I look at losses as lessons. I want whoever is reading this to know that you can do whatever you want in life if you research, get a good coach or group of people that guide you through and take action and don’t give up on yourself when you find your purpose in life it will guide you through. Keep a positive outlook no matter what it helps get you through the tough times I want the world to know me Ta’sha A.K.A Stylish Eye Diva for spreading positive energy with style all from changing the negative mindset to positive through accessories The Good Vibe Collection.
