Meet Mardi Winder | Strategic Divorce Consultant and High-Conflict Divorce Coach

We had the good fortune of connecting with Mardi Winder and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Mardi, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
I believe the most important factor behind the success of my business is that helping people through the divorce process is not just something I do, it is something that I believe everyone should have if they are dealing with challenges and difficult situations.
To me, coaching is not work, a brand, or a measure of success. Rather, it is a passion for me and something that I truly enjoy doing, learning more about, and striving to customize support to meet the needs of my clients.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My work as a Strategic Divorce Consultant and High-Conflict Divorce Coach is built on the simple belief that divorce may end a marriage, but it does not have to define the rest of a person’s life. After experiencing my own divorce, navigating major life challenges, and spending more than 30 years as a mediator, coach, and trainer, I realized there was a need for practical guidance that helps people communicate more effectively, make better decisions, and move forward with confidence. I am proud to combine professional expertise with real-life experience to create resources that empower people to reduce conflict, protect what matters most, and build a future they can genuinely look forward to. My goal is for every person I work with to leave feeling stronger, more informed, and confident that they can write the next chapter of their life on their own terms.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I live in a rural area of Northeast Texas, and I would have to say that taking in some of the local events, including festivals, community days, and even walking through the local parks in the early morning or just before dusk is a great way to spend some time.
For a bit more adventure I would recommend a trip to Dallas/Ft. Worth, and take in the art museums, galleries, and the amazing cultural events. Of course, for those people from outside the state, a trip to the Ft. Worth Stockyards is definitely a must.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Getting started in mediation, specifically in family and divorce mediation, is perhaps the best thing I ever did. My training was almost 30 years ago and Dr. Larry Fong was my instructor. I so appreciated his approach to mediation where the parties have the understanding of the best possible outcomes for their given situation. Later, I become an ICF and BCC certified coach through the training offered by Mina Brown of Positive Coaching Solutions in Dallas.
