We had the good fortune of connecting with Tamryne Jefferson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tamryne, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Risks are a part of the process and are necessary to move forward if success is your goal. Since you’re still reading this, a risk means you have to lose something. That right there had me like “Excuse Me?! Ha!” I never wanted to lose anything, especially not willingly. But I eventually got to the point that I said to myself, “Well, what I’ve already done hasn’t worked so…Tamryne, if you’re gonna give this a shot… give it all you got and let’s see if this works.” I began to dive into my research, and my work. Then came the financial risks! Yikes! However, I learned very quickly, as an entrepreneur, in order to make money, you have to invest money… wisely! You also invest in your knowledge – invest money wisely to get information needed to help you succeed. Every time I invested money for information, I came out rich! Not in funds, at first, but rich because it did ultimately help to get me here! Where is here? I am an entrepreneur with a few newly started successful businesses under my belt. I got here by taking risks because I had the mindset that I was determined to be successful. Therefore, in order to be successful, you have to grow. You have to expand your thinking, or you will always see limitations. Risks are a part of that process in your growth. I embrace my risks, equipped and ready to go. It may be hard at points, but I hold onto truth. My whole business involves a constant risk because I am speaking about things, that the majority of the time, requires a change in the perspective of the woman I am speaking to. If I’ve sparked your interest, I would love to share more with you.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am an entrepreneur with a few newly started successful businesses under my belt. I am a woman who believes in building up women of every culture from every background! This was not an easy task and involved a series of lessons which challenged and grew me. I learned important lessons like you will always spend one of two things. Time OR Money. The question becomes, which is more valuable? And the answer to that question and other questions like these can be found on Facebook. My facebook page and group, ItsMeTamryne, along with my instagram, @itsmetamryne, are part of one method of encouraging women as I am a mother, wife, friend and much more. I share the principles I have learned through my experiences. We are here to support each other. The love is real! When women love themselves and are enjoying life, things honestly go better. So why not share strategies and principles for how I have succeeded in various areas? I know a woman somewhere may be going through something similar to what I did. ItsMeTamryne Instagram/Facebook Page includes the live video posts and encouraging posts. It is the introduction to the Facebook group. ItsMeTamryne Facebook Group includes the discussions and it is a safe forum for women to share, encourage, and support. I also ask questions that range from thought provoking to action provoking questions. This is where women can come to be encouraged, be challenged, get advice, and share wisdom through information. I am an overcomer! I believe we can live and enjoy life! Follow me to find out practical ways to accomplish that!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
In Georgia, we have the mall of Stonecrest. It’s a nice mall and surrounding it is a plethora of shopping outlets, restaurants and fast food. Gotta try Golden Krust and This is It! Bbq & Seafood! We also have the Mall of Georgia! If you enter the mall by the PF Changs and Cheescake factory, you are met with a beautiful landscaped open area to sit and relax. Along with a light changing fountain where you might see some kids laughing and running through the water as it rises and falls at different increments. Downtown Atlanta has many shops and activities! From Peachtree Street to the Aquarium and the Coca-Cola factory. There is also so much history to be explored from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birth-home to much more! Finally, two last stops to make are Lenox Mall and the AMC dine in theater in Buckhead.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Shout-out to my husband, my leader, my best friend, my biggest support, my love, Darneh Jefferson! Also, a Shout-out to my mentors, my leaders, my pastors of Kingdom Nations Church in Stone Mountain, GA, Overseer Brian Dean & Overseer Dr. Andrea Dean. In addition to the church, they have their own businesses and careers. Many principles and strategies, I have learned and grown from, have come through their teachings, advice, correction, and support. They are amazing teachers who give precise and practical information concerning truth! They love God for real and it shows in all their interactions, as they are two of the most loving and serving individuals I have met and known! I encourage you to visit Kingdom Nations Church at 6250 Memorial Drive Stone Mountain, GA on Sunday at 3pm! Bring a smile and your mask, as cdc guidelines are followed.
