We had the good fortune of connecting with Tamarío Holland and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tamarío, what’s one piece of conventional advice that you disagree with?
“Don’t quit your job it pays your bills.” I know everyone doesn’t want to be an entrepreneur but don’t take that away from someone who believes in themselves. This person may be the next Jeff Bezo! It’s like the elders still look at life as if it’s the same as it was decades ago. Just accept the changes in today’s society and let people be creative and build their empire by just supporting them regardless if you disagree with their way of life. If you love and care about them, support isn’t a second guess.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
To make a story short, I took a shortcut lol no just kidding. I always wanted to have my own and to not work for someone for the rest of my life plus I want my kids to see what it takes to be in different positions. I know our parents, well my elders, always tried to keep us in a child’s place and not to worry but when you aren’t staying close to family it’s kind of hard to keep things away from them. For them to see me to get this far from not having nothing ( I mean no car, no home, not even a job) to working at a high demanding mandatory job and being able to still be a single parent plus a CEO of my own company, it shows strength. My children has always been my motivation. I feel like if I’m gonna do anything I won’t limit myself. Having faith plus my village life will always be easy.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Well in the ATL it’s always something to do lol. We would go to Chateaú Elan winery for massages, brunch at Flyer De Lis and a wine tasting tour. We would also check into some events that maybe happening that week hopefully a silent party I love those! I would definitely book a day out that week to go to Lake Allatoona for a boat ride and pack a lunch…it will probably be a group of us. I would also book a private Sip and Paint for a group of us to make it fun for her. Places to eat would be anything random. I love to eat and so does she so we would just try random restaurants. I am definitely the spontaneous one lol.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My village. They are so supportive of my business and they help me to be more creative. They know I love to smell good and feel soft and they love the luxury too. Lol. They push me to be better, they are always honest with me, and the support isn’t questionable. When I actually decided to make this a business the support was there from day one!
