We had the good fortune of connecting with Tahir Murray and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tahir, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Be a good person. It is that simple. Your success is only something YOU can measure.. Only you know where you want to be, what you want to do, and what you did to getting there. Being a good person involves treating people with respect, doing good business, and working on yourself consistently so that you can translate your energy to things greater than you. Every day I wake up, I aim to improving on things that I did the day before and being consistent with the things I did well at.
If you continue to work at your own pace, do good in the world, and do good for yourself, timing will play out perfectly. Give thanks, pay it forward, and the rest will follow.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
One thing about my story that I am proud of is that I worked at my own pace. I credit my family and friends who have helped guide me into thinking this way. They are my biggest supporters and my biggest critics. Through the ups and downs I have been through in my career, I would not have gotten through them if it weren’t for the the foundation and principals instilled in my since a young kid. Those principals are tools I sharpen for myself and the betterment of the paths I cross on my journey.
We all set apart from one another because we are all different, unique individuals. No two people are identical. This thinking alone has helped me be on this path of my own. It has helped me become more original and connected with myself which inevitably translates to my work.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My friends are FOODIES. So we are sure hitting up all the food spots in Atlanta. My friends are also very spontaneous. Very much on the spot, in the moment decision makers. We go and do whatever and wherever the vibes take us!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First, I give thanks to God, my family, and friends everyday. No matter how you’ve touched my life, you molded me in some way shape or form.
I dedicate this to every person who closed a door on me, opened a door wide open for me, and cracked a door open for me. At each door, open or closed, I learned something valuable from it. I am not who I am without my experiences.
I thank my parents who wrote in my 2nd grade yearbook “the world is your oyster”, That message means everything to me to this day.
