We had the good fortune of connecting with Tabatha Collymore and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tabatha, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
How do I think about risks? I believe taking risks solidifies how serious you are about your career. If you do not take the risk of investing in yourself and spending money on yourself and your business, then why should other people do it? Personally, taking risks has played a major role within my career starting back from when I first joined the military. If you are passionate about something, I suggest you take the risk. You cannot be passionate about something and choose not to invest into that passion. In my eyes, if you are not investing your time and money then you are not passionate about it. When you are passionate about something you are willing to do whatever it takes, you will find a way to make whatever you need to happen, HAPPEN!
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
There are so many things I can be excited about, pertaining to my Fashion and Fitness business. I have a newly opened online fashion store with custom makings that you can put in an inquiry for. My first collection drop went great and everyone loved their exclusive pieces, which is always a good thing to hear coming from your customers. How did I get to where I am today? Well, it goes back to when I joined the military because that is when I took that risk, as we talked about on that previous question. I took that risk, and it was the best risk I have ever took because it helped my foundation and it is still my foundation, which I am beyond blessed for. Being in the military takes you to another state of mind compared to a regular everyday state of mind. It opens your mind to things you probably would not have even known you loved if you did not join. Due to all the grit, long working days, the field, being away from family and friends, all of that wrapped in one force you to find something that will keep you pushing and motivated until the end of the term. That is how I got into Personal Training. If I did not join the military, I would not be on the path I am now and I probably would not have these businesses. I do not know where I would be if I did not join the military BUT I do know where I am currently in life and I am happy about it. The path was not easy to say the less. I have some baggage that has tagged along with me into my transition to civilian life, but I try my best to cope, while having a great support system. Without my support team, I would be long gone! Especially while I was still serving! But I am in great spirits now and even stronger.
Lessons I have learned along the way is to never give up and never be scared to invest in your business. If you are serious about your business or whatever you do, you will get that money back plus some. So, do not be scared, do it for yourself, BE the example.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Many things to choose from when it comes to Atlanta. There’s always parties, events, and good food. You have the hotspots like the Aquarium, Zoo, and the well known World of Coca-Cola, that many people tend to love to see at least once during their visit.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My shoutout will go to my family and military family. They have helped me overcome many obstacles and they are always in my corner supporting my decisions and businesses and there are many people who wish they had that. So, I am blessed and appreciative to be able to call them my family. Another quick shoutout to the homies on clubhouse. Although, we all met a few months back, they are still supportive with my business and they made some purchases from my first collection drop, which meant a lot to me. So, shoutout to the homies on clubhouse for keeping it drama free and real.
Shoutout to all my customers who loved their merchandise, I cannot thank you enough. Without you guys support there would be no business for me.
