We had the good fortune of connecting with Stanley Adams and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Stanley, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my own business was I was broke , but at the same time i had a job. Going to work daily trying to feed my family, and please my needs as well, was driving me nuts! I didn’t have time for anything, and i mean anything. I knew i was going to have to change that, but i didn’t know how or even where to start. I took it upon myself self to seek, What am i good at? What is my passion? What makes me happy or feel at ease? Thats when i found out music is what my soul calls for, and ever since then i have been pursuing my own record label ; and me as an artist.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am an artist from Atlanta with many talents with a strong business mind. Im dedicated and focused on accomplishing my goals i have set as an artist but mainly a business owner as-well. I went to school in 2016 after being released from prison in the state of georgia. I continued changing my life trying to figure out what steps did i need to take, but couldn’t get anyone to help me. I struggled every little step and wanted to give up plenty of times , and thought mabe im only meant to be a worker. I got locked up unfortunately in 2017, which set me back again further away from my dreams. I was blessed to overcome the time i was facing and decided that i want BETTER! I want people to hear my testimony, feel my pain in my music, enlighten people, Bring people together, Make people feel good. Its nothing like making someone else’s day better.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First and foremost, I have to thank GOD because i have been through my trails and tribulations overcoming a lot of stepping stones. My mom has been one of my biggest supporters alone with my grandmother, and has never STOPPED supporting me. I definitely wanna thank all my supporters, because I feel my craft is amazing and it excites my knowing people love what i have created. Last but not least my Co-worker Mark Bankamwabo for getting me this interview and being a good friend!
