We had the good fortune of connecting with Scott Peterson and Jake Holtzer and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Scott and Jake, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
The motivation to start Broken Leg Entertainment was drawn from two pivotal points. The first, the idea to create a structure promoting the freedom to live our dreams. The second, putting empathy, love, and happiness above all else. We started this company to bridge the gap between how we perceive the world, and how we treat each other in it. By creating a unique network of talented individuals who focus on the human aspect of business, we provide support to any level of the entertainment industry. Our goal, for not only our team, but for the world, is to inspire people to dream big, laugh loud, and love more.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Broken Leg Entertainment is a talent management and film production company founded in January 2022. What sets us apart from other similar organizations is the opportunity we provide to focus on one’s human value rather than financial value. What we’re most excited about, is that we’re already seeing the effects of that approach. As cliché as it sounds, getting to where we are today took a lot of hard work, a lot of late nights, and a lot of rejection. The relationships we’ve built with our team inspire us to continue pushing on. The biggest lesson we’ve learned so far is that your core values must be sound. Along the journey, every other variable possible will change. Our company promotes that through hard work, drive, and accountability, you can achieve your goals. Dream Big. Laugh Hard. Love More.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Atlanta is one of the best cities in the South! Not only does it give you a great metropolitan vibe, but it offers plenty of outdoor activities! Ponce City Market is a staple, with shops, food spots, and a great indoor/outdoor mix, there’s everything you could need for an awesome afternoon. Piedmont Park, the Atlanta Botanical Gardens, and the Georgia Aquarium are a must for nature lovers. For an artists night out on the town, The Star Bar caters to actors, musicians, comedians, and creatives of all types.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
We would not be where we are today without our dedicated team of actors, writers, artists, and Board Members. We love you all, and thank you so much for your continued efforts and belief in our vision. This is only the beginning!
