We had the good fortune of connecting with Sasha Owens and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sasha, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
One thing that outsiders, who aspire a career in entertainment, are probably unaware of is that they are always being watched. When I was on set of my recent Cantu commercial, the VP of Global Marketing made it known she had been watching and studying me prior to be sure I was perfect for the role. She even pointed out my style and asked me if she was correct. She was. I was amused and proud.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Ahhh…? Was it easy? I can now say that is all perception lol. It is all worth it. It is all necessary. Every no is a disguised yes. It is merely directing you to where you need to be. Listen to your heart. I am excelling because I didn’t give up. I built this.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well lucky for me my bestie lives here. However, I will still share some spots for my upcoming besties. Juicy Crab is a must-eat. I have done footage on them before. If you love seafood do not miss it. Golden Krust is another must have.

You have to become acquainted with Jamaican food while visiting Atlanta. And for my nature lovers, look up the river trails and visit Stone Mountain.
