We had the good fortune of connecting with Sandy Kissi and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sandy, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I was inspired by another body sculptor with whom I connected on both an intellectual and spiritual level. After she performed the procedure on me, I was convinced that I wanted to assist others in reshaping their bodies in an non-surgical manner.

The body sculptor with whom I connected offered a class that I enrolled in. It guided me and allowed me to launch my own body sculpting business.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
It’s not just about body sculpting. It’s about the relationships I build with my clients. I’m able to uplift them in a way that gives them drive and purpose just as my mother gave me. They seek me out for positive energy and I respond in kind.

I am most proud of the fact that I haven’t had a bad experience with any of my clients. Having a business is not easy. When clients become my students and take my body sculpting classes, it makes me feel good that they are entering an industry in which I can enhance their lives. This makes me feel like I’m doing something beneficial.

The lesson that I’ve learned is to be true to yourself. Don’t allow your brand to mimic someone else’s. Be true to your brand.

I am genuinely committed to my clients. I give freely of my time, services and heart.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I absolutely LOVE BRUNCH! I actually started a brunch IG & TikTok because of it lol. All trips should start off with a spa day! But not just any spa, Jeju spa in good old Duluth. Jeju spa is a traditional Korean baths with heated pools, saunas & restaurants and more. For good eats and drinks, in my local area in College Park, there are no many nice and new Brunch spots. I’d take them to The Breakfast Boys in College Park, I love this place simply because its an all day breakfast and brunch spot. If you go you must get the French 75!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First and foremost I must celebrate my mom who gave me the drive and the purpose to believe that I was in control of my own aspirations. Secondly, my husband, Joe, who literally supports anything I desire. He’s always in my corner. Nikki Payne is the body sculptor instructor with whom I initially connected. She is the inspiration behind Yaya Body Sculpting. My sister from another mother! Shamara, she has been there from the very beginning. She help and assisted me with the launch of my Natural Handmade Soaps . MiYaya Soaps!
