Meet Rachael Hanible

We had the good fortune of connecting with Rachael Hanible and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Rachael, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Growing up in a poor neighborhood where the hope was low and the crime was high, I could not understand why we did not have financial literacy classes or programs in school. Unfortunately, I lost a friend because someone wanted the sneakers he was wearing. I figured that maybe if young people really believed they could be wealthy one day they wouldn’t want to risk that by doing something silly or taking from others. This is why I started teaching financial literacy classes for all ages.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My financial literacy classes are different because every single class is different. The students run the class. We improve our relationship with money together while having fun. We sing songs, we tell jokes and play games all while learning important personal finance principles.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My mom Dr. Jo-Ann Dixon and my sister Anitra Davis. These two women have helped to shape the person I am today. They check all the boxes when it comes to support, accountability, love and loyalty. I do not take for granted that I am blessed to have these beautiful, kind, brilliant, strong women in my life.
