We had the good fortune of connecting with Paislee Graves and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Paislee, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The reason my brand is successful is because of my consistency! Whatever obstacles are thrown my way I tackle them, but quitting is not an option. Consistency is what helps the people who are watching believe in me as well!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My personality sets me apart for sure. I’m a whole vibe and I love to rub my energy off on people. I Speak positivity, motivate and laugh with most of my customers! My juice also sets me apart; I don’t add any water or sugar to any of my juices. I also make all my juices fresh daily and personally deliver the same day for Atlanta and surrounding areas.

I’m most proud that I found my passion! My passion is what keeps me going. Things can sometimes get rough and go unexpected, but the passion is what keeps me consistent.

When I first bought my home, in 2017, my mom gifted me a juicer for my house warming gift. I started juicing for my family to get us on the path of eating better and they loved it! One day, my son was congested and I made him a juice remedy that knocked it out within minutes. Since then I’ve been all in!! I still didn’t have the idea to sell juice yet. After about a year, I started to get the urge to want to start selling my juice, but I didn’t have much capital. Well, God worked it out! I ended winning a $1k at my job’s holiday party in December of 2018! I bought everything I needed to start my business and made my first sale February 7, 2019! I was able to make my first major investment in my business by April 2019 and invested in a $500 juicer. When I first started juicing it wasn’t easy. I was a Mother, Wife and full time employee. I sometimes wouldn’t start juicing until 10 p.m. and wouldn’t stop until 2 a.m. I attempted to make my second major investment in September 2019 which was a $2500 juicer which malfunctioned in 2 days right before my first major event, but thank God for passion! I still pulled off that event and sold out!

When I started juicing I was depressed so juicing in fact saved my life. It helped me get my mind off things and gave me something to look forward to. Juicing helped me realize that we aren’t created to just be! You must find your passion and live it through no matter what or you’ll always feel like something is missing….

Through it all I’ve learned to calm down! Everything that happens is supposed to. There are no mistakes, only lessons! Don’t be afraid to say you messed up, people respect you more once you admit it. Always be open to new ways. Lastly, make sure your credit is good! You never know when you need help getting more capital, so always be prepared.

I want the world to know that it’s not just juice. It’s what keeps me grounded, encouraged, motivated and involved in my community!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
When you come to visit me we are definitely going to Life Bistro. It’s a vegan restaurant, but vegan or not you’ll love it! I love being outdoors so I’m pulling out my hammock at Sweetwater park and watching the sunset. Lets take a stroll on the silver comet trail and try our best not to get ran over by a biker. On Tuesdays, I do yoga and Pilates, so get ready to stretch it out! Traveling is more my speed so don’t be surprised if we take a day trip to TN or FL, Lol!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There so many who support me and I’m very thankful!!

I first have to shoutout God for giving me the vision!!! God’s energy is why I started my juice business in the first place.

Then, my son, Peyton! He’s ALWAYS extremely proud of me; the first to congratulate me on all my accomplishments, big or small. He motivates me and helps me stay calm on hectic days. Just the other day he said, “Mommy every thing will be fine, just go with the flow”. He’s also my first employee!

Next, is my saving grace, my mom! My mom makes sure I’m in a position to accomplish any goal regarding my business by being a great care giver for my son when needed. She also helps with all of my events and she’s one of my taste testers.

My best friend Alicia, I share with her most of my ideas and she always gives me the most honest feedback; she’s also hands on if I need her to be! Also, another taste tester.

I was raised in College Park, GA and graduated from Banneker High my former classmates are some of my biggest customers and they continuously show me love on social media!

My former co-workers at Hyundai Capital America, were my first customers and they motivated me to make this a business!

Lastly, my business Coach, Marquita Leonard! She is the person helping Paislee’s Tastees to the next level!
