Meet Nicolas Rincon | Creative Director & Cinematographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Nicolas Rincon and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nicolas, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
It was time. After years of being in love with the art. It was time to turn hobby into career. I love this way too much to not be doing this full time. The combination of traveling documenting life and sharing experiences leads me to want to do the same for others.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
At the heart of my work is a commitment to attention to detail and quality. I believe that subtle shifts in color, frame rates, or lighting transform simple visuals into powerful stories. After a diverse career, I’m proud to pursue my passion. Using video and photography, I craft meaningful projects that tell a story.
My journey was challenging. I’ve been my own toughest critic, obsessing over details and losing focus.
My wife, Cynthia, became my anchor. She helped me navigate the creative world and build a business.
Stepping into my creative skin taught me valuable lessons:
– Stop caring about external validation; your authentic voice emerges when you create for yourself.
– Don’t be too hard on yourself; mistakes can lead to creative happy accidents.
– Ask for help; don’t carry the weight of every production, edit, or decision alone.
My brand, RC Luz Media, is built on genuine human experience. I’ve lived a lot, seen different worlds, and faced internal battles. I want to use these experiences to bring out the best in others through storytelling. My goal isn’t just to capture beautiful imagery but to illuminate the depth, soul, and authentic truth of people and brands.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend were visiting for a week, I’d give them an unforgettable experience balancing sports, incredible food, and scenic spots. We would kick things off with a quick hike up Kennesaw Mountain, followed by grabbing a tasty authentic quesadilla from El Huarache Veloz on Roswell Road. For a night out, we’d head over to Dunwoody to share tapas and cocktails in the lively atmosphere at Eclipse di Luna. We’d also spend a day in the city, packing a picnic for Piedmont Park before walking over to the Atlanta Botanical Garden for a photoshoot. Finally, we’d catch the incredible sports culture here by heading to Mercedes-Benz Stadium for an Atlanta United soccer match, and spending an evening hanging out at The Battery to catch a Braves game.
