We had the good fortune of connecting with Nia Gilleylen and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nia, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Once God gave me the vision for N. Alexandria Empire, I knew that I wanted it to be the best of the best. So I didn’t rush the process of finding a vendor, creating the website, putting together how I wanted the logos/presentation. I knew it wasn’t gonna be exactly how I wanted it in the beginning, that I would change things and get better along the way.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I currently work at a tax, accounting and insurance company. Outside of my 9-5, I spend those extra hours focusing on my business. I’ve been balancing this lifestyle since I first started my business in college. My goal is to be able to operate N. Alexandria Empire full time. In the meantime, I’ve been enjoying and cherishing the journey.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well, I’m located in Mobile, Alabama. A few places I would take my best friend to eat would be Meat Boss, Soul Bowlz, Old Dutch, FOY, Villa Del Rey, and Gambino’s across the bay. If we were to hang out, I would definitely go across the bay to Daphne and Fairhope. When Sunday comes, I would take her to the best church in the city, Right Way Christian Center. That’s the best place to be.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I first have to give honor to the most high God. Also, a shoutout to my supportive family and friends. For the ones that really see the vision, I appreciate them so much.
