We had the good fortune of connecting with Montravious Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Montravious, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
When it comes to taking risks I honestly live on the edge a little bit. I’m a gambler by nature and I always bet on myself and my ability to generate the most successful outcome regardless of the circumstances around situations. You have to be calculated about your assessment of the benefits and outcomes when it comes to risk taking.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Professionally I work in healthcare marketing, operate multiple business ventures & coach high school football. Quite honestly growing up I never expected to work in the medical field. I always wanted to be a lawyer. Life has a way of walking you into your purpose. My time in the military helped facilitate my healthcare career and I fell in love with it. I’ve gone from working hands on in clinical patient care to being in an administrative role to now corporate marketing the services and educating the community about the benefits of them. It’s something I’m passionate about because it allows for interacting with people and everyone has a story no matter what walk of life they come from. The times where someone states that my presence is what got them through a tough time is something that resonates with me and I don’t take it lightly.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Honestly it depends. My very best friends for the most part reside relatively close. For the sake of point of view I would hope their visit was around football season on the fall. The way my community comes together for our high school homecoming is second to none. I’m a huge foodie and my friends and I like to grill and experiment so we’d probably just kick it with drinks and the grill. I’m honestly really chill by nature. That answer probably doesn’t wow you but it’s honestly a transparent look into who I am.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would honestly attribute my successes to my parents Shirley & Eric and their unwavering support. After them it would be my community my hometown of Terrell County, Dawson, GA. So often you’re force fed negative stigmas about what can’t be produced from here and I’ve always been adamant in my resolve that stereotypes don’t apply to me. This place teaches so much even when you don’t recognize it. No matter where I’ve traveled in the world, be it with the military, for school, career or leisure I proudly stand on the fact that I am from Dawson, GA.
