We had the good fortune of connecting with Monique Baisden and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Monique, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Prior to starting 4 The Kingdom Entertainment, I had been an independent songwriter for about 12 years. Throughout the 12 years of being an independent songwriter, I had spent a lot of time networking with other songwriters and producers, and pursuing opportunities with other people’s record labels and attempting to write and compose music with and for other artists and producers, with no success. In 2020, I felt compelled by God to launch my own entertainment company because I wanted to wanted to create the music that I felt was missing in the music industry, but more importantly, I desired to give other songwriters, producers, composers, artists, and other creatives seeking a career in the music industry the opportunity to sit at the table that God was leading me to build.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
At 4 The Kingdom Entertainment, our collective of purpose-driven creatives work with a plethora of individual clients, theatres, and corporate and faith-based organizations to conceptualize, write, direct, and produce songs and music videos, as well as, virtual and hybrid plays and concerts.

Since the latter part of last year, 4 The Kingdom Entertainment has been partnering with Remnant TV, a faith-based streaming TV network, for which I am an Executive Producer and Screenwriter. In partnering with Remnant TV, I have helped to establish both the creative and executive teams for the network, and I help to manage weekly Writer’s Rooms where we develop and write content for TV and film. You can learn more about Remnant TV here: http://www.remnanttv.global

Outside of the work that I do with 4 The Kingdom Entertainment and Remnant TV, I have been coaching Christian creatives and entrepreneurs for the past 2 years. As a coach, I am known as “The Purpose Extractor”, as I have the gift of extracting purpose from creatives and entrepreneurs to help them to get unstuck in the area of their purpose, and either transition in their careers, launch their businesses, finish creative projects, and/or hold them accountable for their creative or entrepreneurial endeavors. Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Prior to the pandemic, I loved to go out to eat with family and friends at various restaurants around Atlanta. Some of my favorite restaurants are Mary Macs, Bonefish Grill, Louisiana Bistreaux, TWO Urban Licks, and Hook, Line, and Schooner. (I also love Lobster Dogs Atlanta and Bankhead Seafood food trucks.) They never disappoint me as the food and service are always consistently great! One of my favorite hangout places to take visiting family members and friends is The Battery/Truist Park. Eating at Yard House and Punch Bowl Social (where you can also play games) are a must if you go to the Battery. The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to send a shoutout to my Purpose-Driven Dreamchasers’ Facebook community, as they are all amazingly gifted, incredibly talented, multifaceted Christian creatives, entrepreneurs, working professionals, and ministers. This is my community that I started in 2017, I believe that each person in this group is destined to do great things for the Kingdom of God and for the industries to which they are called.
