Meet MOJO. | Entertainer & Serial Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with MOJO. and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi MOJO., what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I think the simplest answer I can give you is that it makes me happy. I tried living a “vanilla” lifestyle, a normal 9-5 thing and it never works. I love the freedom of being a creative & making money from my gifts never hurt either!
Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
I’m from Greensboro, NC but I was raised in Maple Heights, OH. I moved back south a year before high school and life was hard then. My mom was a single mom with 2 girls at the time and she worked a lot to provide for us and give us this ga she didn’t have growing up. I went to NC A&T SU #AggiePride for 3 years before dropping out not because of grades but I got sick and couldn’t finish school. I caught pneumonia and was hospitalized. During that time I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis & type 2 diabetes. It took a while to get back to myself and find my purpose again honestly. I felt lost and uninspired for awhile. I moved to Oklahoma then back to NC (where I met my fiancé) then to Washington state for almost two years; then we drove cross country to get to Atlanta. I’m grateful to be here in the space I am now. Atlanta was my Hollywood and I knew coming here I was going to make a name for myself, doing the things I love. Im just getting started!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m vegetarian so of course I’m taking them to get #Sluttifed at Slutty Vegan! Im definitely taking them out to a show. Im apart of the independent music scene so I love to go out to artist showcase and support the local talent. Another go to spot is Breakfast at Barney’s. I love the atmosphere and the food is bomb!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to dedicate this story to my handsome fiancé. He is my rock! He does my Merch & production for me for all of my businesses. He’s super supportive and reliable which is a big thing for me. He prays over me and holds me accountable when I’m doing too much. I honestly wouldn’t know what to do without him so yes this one is dedicated to MY MAN! @ProductionsByKing_ Subscribe to our YouTube: Boss Baes ❤️ Book him for all your photography/custom print needs!
