We had the good fortune of connecting with Milynn Tomasini and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Milynn, how do you think about risk?
Risk has always been scary for me, but I’ve learned along the way that not taking risks, is losing out on chances. Not taking risks is missing out on growth. Not taking risks has kept me in places that I should have outgrown a long time ago. The moment I began taking risks, my life took a turn for the better. I stopped being afraid and just took those leaps of faith. I just recently learned that we are only born with two direct fears: fear of loud noises and fear of falling. Everything else was a mindset thing. I’ve grown so much as a person and artist simply by taking risks and just going for everything I used to be afraid of.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My career as a professional dancer has been a long and tough journey. I have been dancing for 11 years and it has been an emotional rollercoaster. It took a while for me to get to where I am today, and I got here based off of not only my talent, but my relationships and connections. I’ve learned along the way that relationships matter. They are very important, so you always want to be approachable, humble, positive, and open to networking. My journey has come with a lot of blood, sweat, and tears. There have been many moments I wanted to give up and stop dancing. I went through a rough time comparing myself to others. The major thing I have learned is patience and timing is key. Being patient is essential in this business and knowing that when it’s your time, no one will be able to take it away from you is what keeps me going now.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My bestfriend and I stay in the same area, so there’s not really anything new for us to try except maybe some new food places. I would rather us go out of town, maybe to Dubai or even Puerto Rico.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are too many people to name, so I just want to give credit to anyone that has entered into my life and made an impact. Everyone I encounter teaches me something different and I’m just forever grateful for it. From family to friends, my life had made a turnaround and my mindset has grown tremendously. To my mom, thank you for being my backbone and being hard on me to make me the women I am today. To my friends, thank you for being there for me when I was ready to give up everything. To my mentors, thank you for inspiring me and pushing me past my limits to help me grow mentally, physically, and emotionally. Last but not least, this is a family I’ve recently joined but thank you, thank you, thank you, to my Money Magnets family for bringing me on board and pointing me to the right direction to put all my worries behind me and get to where I want to go.
