We had the good fortune of connecting with Michelle Moore Kandice Ross McCall and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Michelle Moore, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
Work-life balance is essential. As a business owner, you are responsible for everything. That can leave little to no time for your other priorities. Michelle and I create balance by sharing responsibilities. We consider each other with kindness and work with one another’s strengths. In most cases, it’s not about balance but prioritization. We make sure everything gets a place on stage, and nothing becomes neglected. You have to know when it’s time to take a break and when it’s time to grind. Having a partner makes that easy.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Luxury Events is a Collective of two businesses. Michelle and I are two women experienced in graphic design, property management, and event planning. We came together to fulfill an overall one-stop-shop luxury event planning company. This includes design, decor, vendor management, and logistics. LEC noticed a lack of businesses that had everything at a reasonable price for the luxury that most customers desire. At LEC, Kandice and Michelle make it their top priority to get to know their clients and make their experience comforting. The journey leading to your event can be exhausting, and they want to openly invite you to hire them as your confidants along the way. Kandice and Michelle are passionate about their work.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We are major foodies, so any trip with us will be full of good food and chill vibes. Since our business services the entire east coast, our week-long adventure will start in Atlanta. On our first night, we will be enjoying the Garden Room, we love the atmosphere here, and our favorite item on the menu is the Sea Bass. The next day we’re eating at The Goodz, one of the best places for seafood and steak. Next, we’re hopping on a plane to DC, where we will enjoy cocktails at Whisky Charlie’s at the Wharf. You get the best view of the city from this rooftop. Then, of course, we’re doing the Monuments by Moonlight tour before heading to Nar-ya for hands down some of the best Asian food and IG pictures. The next morning were hopping to our last stop, NYC. We will be having brunch at Le-Souk in Greenwich Village. Nothing beats the food, prices, or music on Sunday. And after that, we’re headed for drinks at the DL rooftop.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I think Kandice and I can both agree that our number 1 support is our husbands. They’ve never impeded our ability to get work done. They have both always encouraged and pushed up. They see our passion and jump in as much as possible to make sure that we are successful. They do everything they can to help us.
