We had the good fortune of connecting with Maserati Shellz and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Maserati, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
We at 8182 Entertainment believe that Today’s children are tomorrow’s future They hold the future in their little hands. What we give to them today is our tomorrow. Make sure everyone understands It’s the little things that are important. Like a little seed becomes a tree or flower little voices can say some very big things. Like a drop of rain can start a thunder shower. Thats why we started the 8182 Foundation Inc. The 8182 Foundation Inc. wants to spread our message of hope and compassion. We believe that a single action can make a difference in the community, and that collective action can greatly impact the world. Through advocacy and outreach activities, our team works tirelessly each day to contribute their part to the greater good. The 8182 Foundation Inc. knows that our strength lies not only in the words we stand by, but most importantly through the actions of our initiatives. Back in 2017, our Non-Profit Organization realized that by working together we could overcome our challenges much more efficiently, and that is why we ultimately decided to launch the 8182 Foundation Inc. We host a series of events like, our Annual 1OC Hip Hop Basketball Game, Annual Socks & Sweater Drive, and our annual Turkey Drive, Toy Drive etc. Our Base of Operations is in Orange County, California.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m currently the Fleet Supervisor for a nationwide first responder medical company. The thing that sets me apart from most is as a convicted felon I’ve been able to be part of the professional world and thrive. With the understanding that what God has planned for me no man can stop. And I’m not what most professionals look like. I’m an African American man with dreads and tattoos everywhere including my face and hands! the road here wasn’t easy by far I have had a few hurdles that I had to overcome, the main one being my mentality. in 2009 i was arrested for attempted murder I was facing Life in Prison. I defended myself and beat the life case and took a deal for 8 years I was released in April 2017. My brother (DJ Redrum) and I created 8182 (our birth years) as a symbol of Loyalty OVer Eveything an acronym for LOVE. My brother held me down the whole bid and when i came home gave me everything i needed to build up 8182 Entertainment and its subsidiaries. I want the world to know that 8182 means that life can throw you to facing tough challenges that might make you be in a depressed mood. But instead, those challenges will make you more robust. That’s the better part of facing difficulties. Equally, everything you undergo faces them with a positive attitude. 8182 shows that you should realize the goodness of following proper steps. Everything you are doing in life needs a procedure. There is no jumping, even a step in life. Also, you should know that every action should be taken in a purposeful life.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Located between Los Angeles and San Diego and bordered by the Santa Ana Mountains and the Pacific Ocean, Orange County, the smallest county in California, has no real defined center; rather, it is more like a collection of small towns. Inevitably, the landmarks of this county are the Disney theme parks, the main tourist attraction, but also the beautiful beaches, which are crossed by the scenic Highway 1, where you can enjoy some of the most beautiful sunsets on the West Coast. So i would say Monday hit Newport beach swim sunbathe etc best food spots would be Mexican food like Sancho’s Tacos in Huntington beach, phenomenal artwork, terrific tacos, great indoor and outdoor seating, kind service, across from water, parking is limited but available. The quesadillas and bean and cheese burritos for kids are great sizes and taste awesome. Don’t miss this taco spot you’ll regret it. Tues Disneyland in Anaheim just enjoy Mickey and the gang eat at the garden walk they have great choices Wednesday go to Buena Park to Knotts Berry Farm then hit the source they have great sushi bars. Thursday hit Medieval Times in Buena Park it has a good show and fine dining. Thursday night hit up a local hookah lounge and get some good vibes and energy. Friday hit Garden Grove, Great Wolf Lodge Water Park and eat at the nearby restaurants all are good. Saturday hit Santa Ana the city id full of historical scenery and Downtown Santa Ana has the best selection of eateries. Sunday id suggest San Juan Capistrano the historic Spanish vibes are great

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I definitely want to shout out my community, in Orange County the reason being they have supported me from day one. Donating time and effort to my cause so definitely to the city of Santa Ana Councilmember Johnathan Ryan Hernandez – Ward 5, Mayor Vicente Sarmiento, and Dwyane (BH) Shipp of The Orange County Heritage Council.
