We had the good fortune of connecting with Mariya Bentz and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mariya, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
One of the main factors that I attribute to my success is mindset. It was the number one thing that accelerated my business growth. In fact, the reason I named my top-rated podcast, “The Marketing Mindset,” is because I truly believe that in order to have a successful business you need two things: the right marketing plan and the right mindset. A mindset is a combination of belief of what you believe in about yourself and the world around you. This collection of thoughts shape your habits and how you make sense of the world. I truly believe that these beliefs could help you keep growing into success OR hinder you from it (if you don’t believe in yourself). It seems like such simple advice…but it really is one of the most important things. Maybe people think that there is a secret to success…and if they haven’t “made it,” they must not have figured out the tactics. But really…any successful entrepreneur will tell you that once they shifted their mindset, is when it all changed. It was the same for me. Once I changed my perspective and started believing in myself and my vision…I started to take consistent daily action to reach toward my goals. If I didn’t believe in myself, I would have never made it this far…I would have quit when things got tough. But when you constantly have the end goal in mind, and you believe 100% that you are fully capable of getting there…no one will stand in your way. That is now my #1 advice for anyone just beginning their business journey.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am the founder and president of MBM Agency– a digital marketing company that specialises in website design and search engine optimization. What makes us stand out from any other website design agency, is we make sure that you have a profitable website. But what makes a profitable website? Well for starters, it can be found on Google (or any other search engine) when someone searches for your type of product or services. Next, when they actually land on your website, the potential customer connect with your message and trusts that you have true authority in your industry. Growing a business is not easy, especially in the very beginning. In the beginning, my biggest struggle was finding new clients, and signing contracts at a premium rate. I think the thing that helped me the most is when I started to be intentional with my social media. I started to interact with accounts that were business owners, I started to post various FREE marketing tips and tricks, and I started to showcase the projects that I was working on. Little by little I started to get more inquiries for my services. One lesson that I learned once I started adding to my team is being a freelancer and then running a business as an entrepreneur are two different things. As I started hiring, I still ran my business in a freelance style and quickly realized that if I want to scale to 7 figures, I had to change my structure. Since growing the business, and having our podcast. I’ve been on a mission to help others believe that you really can do anything that you put your mind too– what you focus on expands. If you have an idea just go for it and be consistent. And you’ll see results.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Georgia is soo gorgeous and so fun. I would take my best to a few places so that she can experience all that Georgia has to offer. First, Ponce City Market. I love how edgy and unique this place is. This reminds me of The Packing District in Anaheim, CA. It’s so quirky and has alllll the hipster shops. We would get a coffee at Revelator Coffee, and explore the rooftop! Another must-do is taking a drive a little above the perimeter all the way to Lake Lanier. We would rent a pontoon boat for the day from Port Royale and go swimming and tubing! What I love the most about Atlanta, is everything is right at our fingertips– nature and the city life.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
The book “You’re a Badass At Making Money,” by Jen Sincero is the first book that really introduced me to mindset work, and how effective it is in our business (and personal) life.
