We had the good fortune of connecting with Lisa S Jones and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lisa S, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Faith in knowing the next step is front of me, even if I can not see it. Throughout my journey as an entrepreneur, there were often more failures and setbacks, than successes. While I accept many failures are needed to reach those few successes, it is still difficult to experience them. Faith is what gives me the strength to get back up and keep going, to stay the course I have outlined for myself instead of pulling the covers over my head and disappearing. Just like we have faith the sun will come tomorrow, I had faith I would be free from corporate to pursue my dreams, I had faith to get through each day, and I have faith that I will succeed in both my personal and professional endeavors.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
EyeMail Inc. is a multi-patent pending marketing technology company that enables instant play of a full video in email, webmail, and mobile. The complete video-in-email is delivered in less than 15K in size with no downloads or clicks to external websites. What sets us apart is our committed and our ability to be of immediate valued service. We believe everyone deserves the best visual and engaging email communication experience. When using EyeMail technology, combined with video, an average of 60% unique views can be achieved along with a minimum of 38% click-through rates compared to standard email metrics. Such high engagement rates are because the full-length video begins to play automatically on mute when the viewer opens their email. The industry definition of video-in-email, at present is adding a picture with a play button or a 10-second clip of the larger video, both with a hyperlink to a website where the larger video is stored and can be played. We are game changers to this current landscape of email communications. I am most excited about waking up everyday and exploring the possibilities to impact various industries globally, to deliver our best in servicing customers everyday, in thinking of new innovative techniques to share both internally and externally to customers. I was able to get where I am today in business by continuing to seek knowledge at every stage of growth, to listen more than I talk and to take calculated risks as part of the journey forward. It was not easy but definitely great lessons learned that help shaped my direction. As an African American female CEO and Founder, I experienced several challenges that were centered around my vision, questions asked “why I am see to advance Email, it’s fine as it is”, challenges in locating the right development team with the technical expertise and in support of a female leader. Lessons learned include: Always stay true to yourself and your vision, even if no one believes in it. Not everyone is going to ‘get it,’ and that is OK. Take time to celebrate the large and small successes. Realize that everyday won’t be sunshine and rainbows. Seek mentorship from multiple diverse sources Stay the Course of your journey I want the world to know that we beleive you and your customers deserve the most visually engaging experience in your Email inbox, and Team EyeMail is here to deliver an engaging experience. I also want the world to know that I/we appreciate all of the support we have received globally in beleiving in me as the Chief EyeMail Officer (CEO) and our dynamic team. We are honored to be trailblazers for email innovation and promise to keep making you all proud! Guaranteed.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Some of my favorite spots here in the city include: Eat: I love a delicious steak at Houstons Restaurant, the Sundial Restaurant in the Westin, The Juicy Crab! Drinks: Whiskey Blue, Marlowe’s Tavern Visit: The King Center Memorial, the World of Coca-Cola, the Georgia Aquarium Fun, interesting people – before the pandemic I would say at Piedmont Park, at the Atlanta Hawks or Falcons games
