We had the good fortune of connecting with Lesron Baker and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lesron, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
I was born in St. Kitts and Nevis of the British Virgin Island. At a young age my family and I moved to the U.S. Virgin Island, ST. Thomas. Growing up in the Caribbean was a challenge. Growing up in the islands also gave me a different value on life and not being able to get access to certain things made me want more in life once I moved to the United States. I’ve always told myself, “When I’m able to get something, I’m going to get it. When I’m able to do something, I’m going to do it”. And that’s exactly what I’m doing today.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Being an active duty reservist for the U.S. Army can be challenging. The main challenges are leaving behind your loved ones for an extensive period of time. Apart from that, I’ve learned patience and mastered resilience on both the civilian and military world. The military has also helped me understand the different techniques of networking and expanded my thought process for new ideas.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If I had to plan out an eventful day, I would start off by preparing pre-workout shakes and head to Stone Mountain Park. Climbing to the top of Stone Mountain has always gave me a peace of mind. After a good morning workout, preparing breakfast at home is a plus. The afternoon would consist of a little retail therapy and nice “hole in the wall” spot to eat. Before heading home, a nice waffle cone bowl from my favorite ice cream spot, Cold Stone Creamery, is a must. Night time events would have to be like a wild card because you never know what would be going on.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First and foremost, I want to thank the one who created us all, God. He’s answered so many prayers for me and he continues to bless me.

Next I would like to thank my fiancée. She has supported me since day one and as she continues to support everything I’m working for, I’m able to really get the ball rolling in the right direction.

My family has taken a major part in my success story. They have also been there for me and supported me with everything.

I would also give a shout out to my homeboys Kent (@kentmoneybeats), Pedro (@alex_pedro_ftf), Rodney (@1nowayy), and Q (@qmakesbeats).

My family, my fiancée, and my close friends have also given me tough criticism which allows me to challenge my own thoughts on what steps to take next in my business.
